I’m excited about the GS3 but I’m not excited enough to sign up for something that will be revealed in less than 2 weeks.

I don’t mean to start anything… especially for those who will be purchasing or upgrading to the SGS3, but again I really believe Samsung is promoting and making a bigger deal about this phone than they should be. All the specs that are out there doesn’t make this phone that much better than the current SGS2 or even the Amaze. True it does have its own over the One S but even that phone isn’t much to WOW over. In some cases it actually fails. I guess we shall see.. but personally I’d hold out for something better.

I just hope it lives up to it’s expectations and not pull a “iPhone 4 to iPhone 4s” stunt calling it Samsung Galaxy S2.5 or something like that. I don’t complain about all the news and rumors because after all, they have kept it very secretive, the last galaxy was quite good so I can understand people imagining this one to be even better, and it will be revealed very soon. But like I said, I hope it doesn’t disappoint!

Actually, they’re not really going after the people who bought the GS2, but those who still have the original GS.  It’s a huge spec bump from my Vibrant, and I’m looking forward to seeing the phone.

Haha, its a pretty close spec bump from the G2x to the GSIII, considering that the G2x had a sub-par camera, (2010′s) WVGA, 512MB of RAM (biggest issue IMO, otherwise it’d still be fine today – if we ignored the millions of hardware defects), and no official support with some Dev. Support.

We still don’t have concrete specs on the GS3 yet, so wait for the official announcement.

Does either new exynos processor support 42mbps hspa+?

    • J-Hop2o6

It should, I don’t see why Samsung wouldn’t work on that part of the chip. We will see once the announcement reviles the specs.

this will be my next phone…idc if it’s 800 dollars/euros

  • SoffMouf

I just hope Tmo actually carries it.  I /was/ interested in the Galaxy Nexus.

  • SteveAlleyne

The spec I’m most interested in is Gorilla Glass.  I’m not saying the material is perfect but it’s certainly more scratch resistant than anything else going.  It’s a crying shame it wasn’t on the Nexus.

    • http://twitter.com/Serotheo Simon Yu

Isn’t the GSIII supposed to be Gorilla Glass 2 equipped?

The Nexus didn’t have it because of well, the fact that Corning doesn’t produce contoured panels (of the Nexus variety..) right?

  • whosaidwhat

This thing is going to be something great or totally fail. They’ve set themselves up for fail big time if they don’t impress and we all know it’s not easy to please the Android crowd. The expectation is just way too high for a device we know very little about.

  • ResidentJack

Goooooodies :) You mean Like “ICS on T-mobile” for the the GS2… Ah but one can dream can’t he…

  • ResidentJack

Ooooh I got one, the phone will contain a secret power that will cause any iPhone to shatter via beam!!!! Sweet!  Again… one can dream…

i’ve gotta say, props to samsung for being able to keep this under wraps & all building a lot of hype..rarely get this much attention for a android phone..just to throw out a idea
    Sprint got the One X
    Verizon got the Galaxy Nexus
    ATT got the One X

could it be that tmo opted for the One S because they might this phone as an their High End option?

    • Jim

Tmobile and High-End Phones are an oxymoron. My hope is for vanilla ICS, but that will never come true. :(

      • http://twitter.com/melvitto mel

you sir are correct, all we can do is hope or eat hot pockets..im concerned about vanilla ics tho that why we have xda..

Whoever approved this video for release to the public is an idiot; cheesy as hell.
