LOS ANGELES, CA — (March xx, 2012) — For a third straight year, The Chevy Tweet House, a celebration of the Social Web and Twitter’s pervasive role within it, will be bringing together those who are creating and evangelizing the technologies that are defining the future. Hosted during the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin, Texas on Saturday, March 10th, 2012. Sponsors for this year’s festivities include Chevy and Bobsled; media partners include the New Media Vault.

Past guests of the Tweet House in Austin include Pete Cashmore, Robert Scoble, Jamie Lynn-Sigler (The Sopranos) and actor Adrien Brody. As a confluence of hundreds of key players in the entertainment and tech industries, The Tweet House (www.tweet-house.com) showcases collaboration, creativity, and technology in an informal and festive environment. Starting at 2pm, Tweet House will be hosting daytime sessions covering all aspects of social media and the emerging trends in marketing, data analytics, and location based applications. From 5pm – 7pm, Chevy will host its tailgate barbecue and the Tweet House After Dark, hosted by Bobsled and featuring an exclusive performance by Tony Lucca, will begin at 9pm.

At 2:00pm, Danielle Panabaker and Nicole LaLiberte, stars of the SXSW Official Film GIRLS AGAINST BOYS will kick off the Tweet House for conversation on stage about connecting with their fans through Twitter.

At 2:30pm, Blogger Robert Scoble will interview social media thought leader Brian Solis in “A Fireside Chat with Brian Solis.” The session will cover Solis’s new book “The End of Business As Usual” which explores each layer of the complex consumer revolution that is changing the future of business, media, and culture. The session will discuss how as consumers further connect with one another, a vast and efficient information network takes shape and begins to steer experiences, decisions, and markets.

From 3-3:30pm, William “Whurley” Hurley, Sara LeBlanc, and Matt McKenna will host “Developing for the Millennial Market: What Drives Downloads.” In this session, audiences will see what opportunities exist to drive revenue and engagement in the mobile space, and panelists will discuss what approaches in the gaming, social, content, and utility domains make for compelling (and irresistibly downloadable) apps.

Beginning at 3:30pm, Chris Perry, Vice President, of Chevrolet Marketing will join Steve Broback and Rick Bakas for the session “Anatomy of a Twitter Campaign: Case Studies in Driving Conversion.” In this panel, the presenters will inform attendees about their different approaches to marketing on Twitter and how they’ve gotten the most out of Twitter as a promotional and advertising platform.

At 4:45pm, Tony Lucca hosts the final session of the day entitled “Tony Lucca Talks Twitter.” Musician Lucca, who takes the stage at 9:30pm for a live performance at the Tweet House After Dark, will discuss how he uses Twitter to connect with his fans.

The “Chevy Tailgate Party”, a fun-filled Texas style BBQ in an open air tent adjacent to the main venue, will immediately follow the sessions at 5pm. During the BBQ, a selection of the automotive giant’s concept cars, along with their most technologically advanced and sleekest production vehicles will be on display.

To conclude the day, The Tweet House will re-open at 9pm for the exclusive “Tweet House After Dark” hosted by Bobsled and includes a performance by Tony Lucca. Bourbon fusion drinks – fabulously smoking nitrogen cocktails – will be served as well. Festivities will persist until 12 midnight.
