(Updated) T-Mobile Teasing “Extra Love” In Celebration Of Valentine’s Day?

Update: Turns out this nothing, I think I read more into the tweet than necessary! Mah bad.

Oh T-Mobile, you are such a tease as their Twitter feed just sent out this quick tweet and we’re hoping that this “extra love” equals some kind of extra deal. Once we know more we’ll be sure to update this post!

    Love Ya’ too T’mo!

  • BoZo

I hear tmos having another sale this weekend

    • http://tmonews.com David

It’s a “loyalty” sale and you’ll be contacted by T-Mobile if you qualify.

      • Aaron Tant

        yep

      • Aaron Tant

also, from what I read, it is also supposed to appear on the software for the employees to offer as each customer’s account is pulled up.  Not as obvious as this past weekend’s sale, but still a good offer.

      • Raj

doesn’t matter , tmo still requires you  to be upgradable, When has TMobile ever cared about its long time loyal customers?

        • Vim

I really don’t understand this attitude.   Why should you get a free, or otherwise heavily subsidized phone if you’re still on contract?   The carrier needs to make money too you know.  They’re not a charity.

        • http://tmonews.com David

Exactly, the sense of entitlement that has come out for this Valentine’s Sale is ridiculous. It’s clear that many people don’t understand why they got a discount in the first place.

        • Raj

every  cell phone companies gives free, discounted deal, loyal ty credits when customers are due for upgrade. why TMO thinks they are the only who give deals to customers who wish to renew contract?

        • Vim

They’ve never claimed to be the only one.

        • Raj

WHATS THIS NONSENSE ABOUT  DEALS FOR UPGRADE OR RENEW THEN? WHATS THIS NONSENSE SO CALLED VALENTINES DEAL?

        • Vim

Just because T-Mobile isn’t the only carrier offering upgrade/renewal deals, doesn’t mean this past weekend’s deal was nonsense.   It was the best upgrade deal T-Mobile has offered in many months to those on classic plans who were ready for upgrades/renewal.

        • http://tmonews.com David

What nonsense sale? How was it not a good sale?

        • riderdiechic

I took advantage of the sale and I’m on the value plan.  I upgraded from a nokia nuron that I’ve had a couple of years to a samsung galaxy II without any problems.  Yes, I had to apply for the rebate of $200 which I don’t mind because when I get it back it will be well needed.  The remaining $400 will be split into 20 payments on the EIP .  I’ve been with tmobile for 10 years and will remain with tmobile as long as they are around. Tmobile Rocks!!!!

FML! I really wish I knew about this before I left my AMAZING grandfathered plan. David, you are doing a great job keeping us informed, but can you please give us a heads up on little things like this? :D I would really appreciate it and it would have helped me make an even more well informed decision. Thanks again, and I appreciate all of your great help and outstanding articles.

          The modern “entitlement” mentality :-(

I have to say i find this mentality to be quite blatant and much more widespread in the t-mobile community.  I know they’ve targeted the “cost conscious” customer, but some of these people act like starving, depraved, vagabonds and expect charity handouts from the carrier after a few months of renewal.

The best part is that many people see no shame what-so-ever in this.

Just going by what other people have wrote on this blog,it’s seem that,
(according) what people have wrote on here they been with Tm since
VoiceS,they never got any kind of discounts, free offers, etc. Not sure if the other carries do any of that, what other people have wrote on here
they did at one point, but not any longer.

  • who knows

hopefully…but what happened to jan 18th on that map?

According to the roadmap two devices launch tomorrow

    • http://tmonews.com David

That roadmap is over a month old, it’s very possible that it has changed. Remember, this information is leaked and therefore unconfirmed. If it’s changed and we haven’t received an updated sheet, it’s possible T-Mobile changed some release dates around.

      • Aaron Tant

nothing coming out that I’m aware of.

oh I know I was just hoping you would have said the opposite. Wishful thinking

  • Vim

I checked last night.  This sale appears to have just been the Valentine’s Day edition of the usual weekly after-hours online sale.  They offered the MyTouch 4G and the Sidekick 4G for free until 11:59pm pacific time.  It certainly wasn’t in the same league as this past weekend’s sale.

  • Vim

I hope T-Mobile wasn’t waiting on Samsung to deliver the 32GB Galaxy Nexus.  It just got cancelled.

  • Lani

On 2-19-2012, AT&T will release the Samsung Note with 5.3″ screen.

If it took TmobileUSA a YEAR, to start selling a 4.3″ screen mobile (after Sprint released one), then
    I hope we don’t have to wait until 2-19-2013 for a TmobileUSA mobile with a 5.3″ screen… :(

T-Mobile had the first 4.3″ screen mobile from what I recall, the HD2. You must be thinking Android.
