Samsung Galaxy S II White Web-Only Offer Priced At $99.99

Well, isn’t this a pleasant surprise as T-Mobile introduces a web-only offer on the Samsung Galaxy S II White for $99.99 through Sunday, December 18th. This is a great price and we can’t imagine you’ll find it cheaper anywhere else, especially since you can only buy it through T-Mobile’s website, customer care or telesales. Therefore, you should really take advantage of this promo if the White color is calling your name.

  • ReppingThemTexans!

This phone is a beast… white just makes it sexier.. !! Imma get this

  • Sunday517

If you an existing customer the $99.00 dollar price is not applicable. I went on T-Mobile and if I say I have an account the price goes back to $229., but that’s also a BOGUS price. I went to T-Mobile and that price is also NOT FOR ME..The $529.00 price is for me!!!

  • Aamay001

Lame! Doesn’t work as an upgrade….

  • Nearmsp

This is not applicable for any one who has completed 2 years on a contract. Only for NEW customers or new add a line. Nice way of saying we have no regard for loyal existing customers. Let us hope Verizon comes out with something nice to match so we can go there with our current number.

    • David C

The problem with Verizon is you will be paying an arm and a leg for service. One reason I stick with T-Mobile you cant beat their prices.

    • Anonymous

Just get the Nexus on Verizon if you’re going to switch, much better phone anyways without the horrible Touch Wiz on it.

  • Erc2003

    Not for upgrades…..lame sauce

  • WorkTheSystem

Since I’m existing customer, I’ll work the system. I’ll be picking one of these up as a new line and then immediately cancelling it and paying the $200 ETF. $300 is much better than $500+ for an outright purchase.

    • Anonymous

      Does this actually work?

    • Josh Streeter

I’m on the phone with Tmobile right now, trying ANYTHING to get this phone, and they’re not offering me a damn thing, because I’m not a new customer.  This is annoying.

Wouldn’t adding a line cause you to get charged another monthly rate?

      • Anonymous

Ya but he’s immediately cancelling it and paying the cancellation fee after he gets the phone. Essentially you end up with a discounted phone instead of paying full price when you’re not up for contract renewal. Maybe not the best plan if you do have an upgrade available, but definitely a good idea if you’re just desperate to have a new phone.

      • Windows Fan

Just have your wife get a contract and cancle yours. If you don’t have a wife, get one then lol.

    • 123

Hmmmm…..That is a very smart idea. Please keep us up to date if it works.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Aronson-Stack/609481725 Aronson Stack

That’s dicey.. try it and let us know. But from my understanding, if you cancel within your return period. Then technically it’s not a cancellation. They will ask you to return the phones. So you may have factor in 1 month service. Now your savings shrinked. Would all the hassle be worth? I’m not saying that’s how it works. I don’t know. But logically, that’s my guess.

  • David C

Remember guys they have the massive 4G Sale tomorrow which gives us the SGS2 for free, sorta, lol. That is when I am getting mine then on to deving for the SGS2.

    • CutMercuryFromYourDiet

Are you serious!! Free!!  Do some math exercises — You will be paying $200 deposit which hope to get it back in mail in 8 weeks and $20 installments for 20 months. Does not sound Free to me!

  • Anonymous

Even if the phone is now free, it was worth all 230 dollars I spent on it.  Anybody thinking about getting this thing better JUMP ON THIS DEAL!!

EDIT – you guys say not for Upgrades huh well that sux.

    • David C

I agree Pimp, I cant wait to get one. Such a great device. I would get the Galaxy Nexus but its just do dang expensive.

      • http://www.facebook.com/firemenace Robert ‘Menace’ Hunte

ITs True , I Hesitated and finally went to target, got it for 135 after tax well worth it

  • Nearmsp

Finally dumped my BB Bold and a Curve for 2 of these beasts. Bought one on discount on the phone today,  I will buy one on EIP tomorrow.

  • http://c0rinne.net Corinne

It really sucks that we existing customers can’t get this price.

    • Ohcomeonnow

Hey maybe this summer there will be a….

“We’re sorry about that little mishap of getting caught in the “gravity field of a Death Star”, we appreciate that you stayed the course with us” sale.

And it will be UPGRADES ONLY to thank their loyal customers !!!

      • Ohcomeonnow

And MAYBE it will included Nokia 800s and a new Nokia phone w/ keyboard!!!!

Kind of a “we can’t give you iPhones….but if that’s what you want instead of a Android then how about Nokia + WP ?!!!

    • Anonymous

if you wait until Sunday,u can get it at Target for $99.00 but it won’t be white.

  • Josh Streeter

I called to try to get this deal, or to see if I could get the in store deal tomorrow.  NOPE!  I have had a Value Plan, for 4 months only.  My previous Even More Plus plan I had for over a year they say doesn’t matter.

I even talked to cancellation, and they said they could either 1) Cancel me for $200 or 2) Sell me a device at full price.

They offered to sell me a Samsung Behold for $289.  This company is a joke.  MetroPCS would be an upgrade at this point.

    • Th3problem17

why since you were on the value plan, what makes you special where you can have that and the phone promotion? lemme guess loyalty?

    • Anonymous

You are 4 months into a contract and think you can get a discount already?  Hmm….

    • Anonymous

      Plans usually run 2 years?

    • Bratty

You need to read your own response slowly and then think about why people here are laughing at you. Maybe you can ask a friend for a reality check?

    • Anonymous

Don’t know what phone you got when you switch over to the value plan, but if it’s a highend phone,u can sell it on ebay for $200-400. Then make up the different. Then the phone would
cost you only $129.00 or see if you can trade your phone to someone who wants your phone
for theirSG2 on Craig-list. You can never tell.

      • Josh Streeter

I have never gotten any subsidized phone from Tmobile.  I bought my phone on Craigslist. This is why I’m so frustrated with them.

        • Anonymous

If I were you,I would write to head of customer service,by certify mail.
Tell him about what is happening to you. Then see what he tell’s you.

    • 123

      You are too smart…

  • DMLIFE

I am always amazed at how many people complain about these deals and T-Mobile not taking care of their loyal customers.  I have had a family plan for over 10 years and have found they take care of us loyal customers by giving us good, full discounted prices once every 2 yrs or a partial discounted price after a year.  Do people really expect them to give us a great discounted phone every time we simply decide we want a new one?  These type of promotions to attract new business are no different than those of cable companies who offer extremely low monthly rates to new customers for a period of time.  Do we call them up because we have been a loyal customer for years and say we deserve those low rates too?  If T-Mobile were to offer all these deals to all of their customers I am not sure just how they could ever stay in business.  I personally would prefer they continue to do business as they do now so they can continue to provide good service at reasonable rates.  In my opinion far too many people have become far too demanding in their expectations.

    • Anonymous

You kiddin’ me?  T-Mobile should be passing out free phones like gum!!  Or at least that’s how some knuckleheads feel.

I for one would switch to Value but I already have a family of 4 with all kinds of different expiration dates.

    • Rosario

The people that are complaining are the ones that are eligible for an upgrade but unlike new customers have to pay the normal $229 for this. That’s why people get mad. You would think that since these people are outside there contract, Tmobile would want to do whatever they can to keep them. But instead of making sure the customers they have stay, there worrying about bringing more in. That’s where the problem lies.

      • Sunday517

Rosario, I would gladly pay the $229, but for me the upgrade would be FULL PRICE $529..Now that’s not right. I’ve been with t=mobile for 10yrs. I want the $99 price too!

    • http://twitter.com/iDiotGear Rob Daman

I have never upgraded in 7 years and they never give me anything good. I don’t expect things at will but don’t you think I deserve a decent offer after 7 years?

      • Anonymous

If I were you,I would write to head of customer service,by certify mail.
Tell him about what is happening to you. Then see what he tell’s you.

  • Anonymous

Never for upgrades. They really could care less about customer retention. My wife has been up for an upgrade for 3 months and we still haven’t bought anything b/c every time we go to the store it would work out to over $300 to leave the store with a GS2… just not f’n worth it to replace an N1 with a GS2 for $300.

    • Anonymous

Go to Target on Sunday. It won’t be the white one. $99.00 better than Tmobile lame sale. That for upgrades and new customers.

      • Guest77

Can’t find that ad. Can you put a link here
         Thanks

        • Anonymous

U have go to Target in person. Not online. David put up ad for Target, they are having sale until Saturday for $129.00,now other people are claiming,Target will
be selling The SG2 this Sunday for $99.00. Not sure if they will be doing that.
If they are.they will own $30.00 Pick one up for $129.00 plus tax and insurance
          for $159.00.

  • Aherrera1

I was at target yesterday hoping to buy the HTC Sensation for 49.99 When I got there they were sold out. The guy informed me they would get more but not sure when. He also told me about the S2. I said it was too pricey. He said if I was willing to wait til Sunday I could get it for 99.99. I might just wait til then.

  • TMO DEALER

I’m a T-Mobile dealer in San Jose, CA and I have that white color GS2 and I sell it for less than $99 starting tomorrow……….. not to advertise, only because this article said, ”
This is a great price and we can’t imagine you’ll find it cheaper anywhere else, especially since you can only buy it through T-Mobile’s website, customer care or telesales.”

    • TmonewsGuest

Can you do $99 for upgrades?

      • Anonymous

U can upgrade at Target for $99.00 on Sunday for the SG2.

        • Guest77

Can’t find that ad. Can you put a link here

        • Ekoy

Only for black though not white.

        • Anonymous

Yes only for black not the white. The white one only suppose to be sold by Tmobile for now.

  • Anonymous

that is a steal! but i would pay the $529 for it. it really is worth it.

  • VieweR

will this phone get ice cream sandwich update?  Supposedly a great phone but already out of date otherwise.

    • Mokenshin13

this phone will get the Ice cream sandwich update (android 4.0) in early 2012

  • fryrice

try to order this as an upgrade and they told me its on back order…

  • Raul

    F U tmobile arrrrg!!!!

David can you put up that ad again for people that miss it for Target. Also do you know  if Target is going to sell the SG2 for $99.00 this Sunday? Do you have any contacts that can confirm if they are?
Thanks. David you know how some people are,if they don’t see it on the 1st page, they will not go to the 2nd or much less the 3page etc. Thanks again.

  • Anonymous

Good for new customers, I’m now going to stay with my old contract and buy phone full retail. That’s the best way to go.

    • Samsung ROCKS

same here unless t-mobile change their contract term back to 12months like they used to (the good ol days)…. 2 years is just way too damn long…. new and improved phones come out every month or two so it’s waste of using an upgrade…. IMO

      • JBLMOBILEG1

I completely agree. Heck if I was able to upgrade every year I would sign a two year contract… after all… I plan on staying with Tmobile until they are no longer around. Unless of course I find a cheaper alternative but with the same service if not better… and I don’t see that coming in the near future.

  • iphonewins

i did see the white SGS2 on target mobile website like 2 days ago.

  • Cap

Like most of you I was pissed to see this. However I used my upgrade through best buy and it was $149 for the white sg2. Not too bad, way better than $229 and ill have it next week.

    • Mspri730

I went on the Best Buy website and I did not see the white galaxy s 2 on there…When did best buy get the white galaxy s2?

  • JBLMOBILEG1

I don’t see how its only available through Tmobile when multiple people are claiming that other stores are carrying it in white. Either the news isn’t correct, people are just lying, or they are confused as to which phone they actually saw. So which one is it?

    • Davenycept

      People lie

  • Ginormous

Here’s an idea: If you’re an existing customer and you’re contract is up, cancel your line and start a new line or start as a new customer to take advantage of the $99 dollar upgrade.

    • http://www.twitter.com/mrjlwilliams Galaxy Note Guy

Yep, I said that in another post too…lol.  That is the way…

  • Anthony in Utah

I am still waiting on the HTC Amaze 4G to drop on a deal like this here white Samsung Galaxy S II !

    • guest

They offered the HTC Amaze for 129.99 last week but it was an after hours sale!

      • pailover

I got the htc amaze from costco/membershipwireless(dot)com for $99 w renew contract ($50 for new contract) on black friday!

  • Anonymous

And I just ordered mine off of Best Buy for $149.99.  Oh well I wanted the black version anyways.  Still a great deal.

    • Eric6014

You should still be able to get the $50 rebate.

  • http://www.twitter.com/mrjlwilliams Galaxy Note Guy

LOL, wow…they got a lot of people, lol.  That’s messed up, lol.  DAMN

  • Goonielove10

Will they have the white one for sale $99.99 for upgrade because I see that target mobile online does have the white one for upgrade but for $199.99

    • Anonymous

Not sure. What the saleman told me,the whiteone is only thru tmobile. Yes I check out Target online, saw the price. (the whiteone)If you get this in time you have only until today,to get it for $129.00  If they are going to sell it,
for $99.00 on Sunday, then just ask the saleman if they are. Then wait until Sunday. What I am going to do is buy white back on ebay. Or if some company has different colors backs, maybe even a red one! LoL

Just wondering, has anyone even been able to buy a white g2 (and have it in their hands)?  They are all backordered with no expected date of restock…..did they ever have it?

  • Pesporitu28

Got mine yesterday. Great looking phone. Have it in black too. But white stands out more

  • http://www.twitter.com/mrjlwilliams J. Williams

when I call to order mine, the guy just billed it to my account only charge me 99 dollars. he also shipped it overnight for free, no mail in rebate or anything.

    • Supersport98

how did u managed that… did you get it thru the retention team

      • http://www.twitter.com/mrjlwilliams J. Williams

I just called telesales, and that was it…they also waived my activation fee.

          Is tetesales different than cr,and
retention? How do you get in touch with them? Call 611,when ask what dept. say tetesales?

cool so u got it using an upgrade. cuz im do for an upgrade and wanted this phone

i got the same price ($97 ) for upgrading. had to talk to retentions. i will get the $50 mail in rebate also. phone is back-ordered so free overnight shipping when it becomes available.

      • Goonielove10

Hi. Did you have to say anything special because I talked to them for about 30 minutes and I even explainined how our family has been a customer for them for over 10 years when they were called voicestream and they still didn’t allow me to get it for $99.99 upgrade. Anyhelp will be great! :)

        • Anonymous

they initially gave a high number like $240, i said att has it for 1cent and there is no motivation for me to stay.. i actually called back a few times on few differnet days, till a nice lady gave me the price.

  • Afterburner87

T-mobile came through for me again in a big way. I called customer care and asked if I could get this phone for $99.95. They did it for me with bill credits and a $50 MIR I was able to get it for $99 just like new customers. Thanks again Magenta I know Big Blue would not treat us so well.

    Afterburner

    • Ginormous

Is there anything special that you had to say? Are you an existing customer? What’s MIR?

      • http://twitter.com/mlwedell mlwedell

        MIR is Mail-In-Rebate

      • Afterburner87

I am an existing customer I just asked them for the phone they said it was for new customers. I asked if I was under contract they said no and transfered me to retention. It was that easy I didn’t have to complain or anything.

AT MY LOCAL HEB PLUS GROCERY STORE THE GALAXY SII IN WHITE IS $99 FOR NEW COSTUMERS AND UPGRADES AND IM STILL WAITING FOR MINE BECAUSE ITS IN BACKORDER AINT THAT A B****

    • Datjuliusboi

I got the white one from HEB PLUS for that $99 and mail in rebate of $200 so they end up paying me $100 to get the phone!!! HEB!!!!

    • Teesha

I went to HEB Plus today and that sale ended yesterday. Damn! They had some in stock. I think the new price is $199. Went to Tmobile yesterday and they were trying to sell it to me for $300….bastards.

  • Anonymous

Does anyone know for sure if Target is selling the SG2 for $99.00 on Sunday and for how long?

  • Eric6014

I bought the phone for $279 on Thursday.. Saw this deal on Saturday and called them up.  They gave me the $99 price with no questions asked because I was still within the 20 day return period.

    • Lmskallerud

Are you a new customer or existing.   I did the same thing, and after over 10 years of being with them, I got a big fat NO!  …and the phone is on backorder with no indication of when it will come in.

      • Chrislaustin

I called them this morning, as a current customer of 6+ years, and was told they where out of stock, and couldn’t work any deals otherwise. She was cool and friendly, and made an appt with me for thurs. to try and work a deal(if it has restocked bythen). We shall see what happens. Hopefully they will work a deal based on the past sales price, but I won’t hold my breath.

      • Eric6014

New customer… Sounds like they are giving you the runaround.  The white phone is definitely not out of stock.

  • exvoicestreamer

I  tried to upgrade my 2 eligible lines this morning, but no luck as T-Mobile  is out of stock and unable to process my order at this time .   Maybe best buy or target…….

  • michael

ah! WTF i jus called too they said they were didnt have ANY sgs2 left not even on back order.
this Blows. i really wanted to upgrade for this phone. any where else have them?

    • Bree

Yeah, me too. Been waiting 18 months to upgrade, love this phone, and they’re all sold out in every color. Rep didn’t know when they’d be back in stock and told me the white may *never* be back in stock.

  • adam

I just used my upgrade to get the samsung galaxy s2 at target for $99. Only had the black one, but i can confirm target is having this sale and upgrades qualify too. It also looks like the sale is all week, not just today

  • tina

Has anyone gotten the phone for $99 by renewing their current contract for another 2 years? I’ve been a customer with them for 10 years, but I want to keep my current plan and not change to a classic plan.

    • Supersport98

I got mine at target today for 99.99
With an upgrade…. And didn’t have to change my plan

  • Michael

so best buy has the phone for $150 but i had a $50 off coupon for a smartphone with 2 year upgrade from my college that i used at bestbuy mobile in my local mall and got the phone for an adjusted price of $100 with my upgrade so u can this prices using other ways

  • Yousef Nasrallah

guys go to target, it is $99.99 for upgrades

  • Barnes

Do you have to go into a target store to get the deal because I went to their target mobil site and for upfrades its $199 and for a new contract its $149.

    • Mizdj78

I saw that too. I’d like to know if this is just in store

      • Barnes

I just spoke to their customer service and was informed to refer to their site, where is where they get their info from, but that they showed no such promotion for $99. Supposedly it changes every day and even sometimes every hour.

        • DMr

I never saw the promo on their site, but I do see the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S2 is 99.99 on there.

How is everyone getting the 99.99 deal? In store, online?

    • Supersport98

I got mine at target today for 99.99
      With an upgrade….

    • Chrislaustin

Cool! I’m due to hear back from my rep tommorow, or sooner if it got restocked. I’m still not holding my breath that anyone will call back, and if they do, I doubt I’ll get a great deal, but we’ll see.
