Look No Further Than Target Mobile For A Great Deal On The Galaxy S II

Looking for a good deal on the Galaxy S II that doesn’t require you to be a new customer? Check out this weeks Target Mobile advertisement as they have a deal on the Galaxy S II that shouldn’t be missed. Available for both new and upgrade eligible customers, Target has the Galaxy S II for $129.99 on a two-year contract without any rebate. Their regular price is $199.99 against T-Mobile’s regular price of $229.99 after a mail-in-rebate.

I don’t want the Galaxy S II you say, so how about the original Samsung Galaxy S 4G? The good old Galaxy S 4G is free for new and upgrade eligible customers out of Target Mobile this week. It’s a little older but still has the chops to give you the complete Android experience and at a great price.

Don’t let these offers pass you by, the ad is good through December 17th.

Now this is a better deal.  MIR’s suck.

Target is a good place to buy a phone.  Not only that but they accept some old phone trade in’s for in-store credit.  (Not all phones qualify for trade-in credit)

    • Yahoo

Does an old T-mobile Dash qualify?

      • Anonymous

You are better off selling it on ebay. I took with 3 different phones to see what I would get for them,1)G1=$10.00 2)5230=$15.00 3)2720=0. The G1 on ebay anywhere between $50-$100,The Nokia 5230about the same on ebay $50-100. Nokia 2720 about
$15-30.00. Once you tell them the phone punch it in the data base the price they are willing to give u comes up. That how it works.

  • Mgt2014

Targets coming up!! Not bad. Too bad ive never seen them do any advertising.

  • Brianb

Why is everything an IN-STORE only.  Why not web!

  • TargetDog

Additional bonus:  Target Mobile lets you trade in UP TO 5 DEVICES for credit against whatever you purchase.  Those devices can be your old phone, an old digital camera, whatever.  Really.  They’ll take your old sh*t off your hands and give you money back (in forms of a Target gift card).

I just bought the Sensation for $19.99 and got $30 back for my myTouch3g dinosaur.
Bought my wife the GSII for $129, and “traded in” her old Samsung dumbphone and prehistoric digi-cam.

Plus, 30-day returns allowed, NO RESTOCKING FEE.

  • Someone

So how much would it be for an upgrade?? I have an upgrade now. Woud it still be 129.99? How long is this going to last?

    • Anonymous

The sale is until the 12/17. It is for new customers, and people due for upgrades. Read what Targetdog wrote. It’s right there when it is over.

    • Bklynman

If you got the SG2 ,for $129. you can get your $30.00 back from Target. Just bring your your bill with u,they will give you a refund! Sale is until 12/24!

  • Josh Smith

    How

  • 400runner

should I trade my G2 and upgrade my wifes mytouch 3g for a SGS2 and SGS  4G??

while I wait for the Galaxy Nexus?

    • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/35HLVJSI34LMH5M274SCGWDZBY mike

The G2 is still a front runner. You could give your wife the 4g G2, and get the Samsung GS2…

    • bigboss5

      wait for GALAXY NEXUS II

    • Targetdog

Get your wife the S2, Target will give you $30 for that crap mytouch3g.  Bring along up to 4 other devices you want to pawn off on them :)  Digicams, camcorders, etc.  They wan’t take netbooks, laptops, or gaming consoles though…

  • Josh Smith

I called the 3 Super Target stores by my house and none of them sell T-Mobile phones so how can I possibly get this in-store deal?

    • enveed05

      You can order online too.

      • Josh Smith

But the online price is $150 for a new line and $200 for an upgrade. How do I get the deal for $130?

        • http://tmonews.com David

          Go into a store.

        • Josh Smith

I actually went to the one that was closest to my house and they didn’t sell T-Mobile phones unless they were prepaid. I called the Target hq and the rep I spoke to was completely clueless about the deal and said that maybe it was just the stores in my area that didnt sell Tmobile phones. WTF kind of crap is that?!

        • bigboss5

tell amazon wireless or wirefly to match the deal

        • Josh Smith

I just bought the S2 straight from T-Mobile and apparently they have a promo where u get three free months of data for the 5gb plan so I technically saved an extra $90.

        • WhackJob

Did you want 5GB or did they tell you it was required?

        • Josh Smith

Data is required but any data plan is fine. However, I think the 5b plan is the only one eligible for the promo. I wanted the 5gb because I use wifi tethering at my college to do some “five-finger discount” downloads on my laptop. I would get the 10gb if it wasn’t more than $40.

        • Harry_crumb

T-mobile sucks to deal with as a third party. They take back commissions and create business rules that guarantee a losing proposition for retailers. No wonder they are losing customers left and right, they treat them the same way.

        • Targetdog

TargetMobility is a division of RadioShack.  They set their own prices and a TMO phone rep is going rightly have no idea how, when, or where TargetMobility is pricing or selling their phones.

          Just sayin’.

Target near me sells TMO, but BestBuy does not.  So it’s luck of the draw I guess.

  • Anonymous

Why can’t Tmobile do this themselfs? If you notice in the ad,Att phones are only $50.00,why not Tmobile? Just pointing this out, just can’t understand who making the decisions at Tmobile. Just recently The other big 3 had 1cents sales for new and upgrade customers.  Not Tmobile! But why????

    • bigboss5

doing upgrade at third parties like TARGET , WIREFLY is not good idea,if you cancel before contract expires, you will be charged ETF from third party and TMO, if you do any changes to your plan later. there is additional fee from third party.

      • Yousef Nasrallah

some people don’t want to cancel their contracts you know!

      • Anonymous

Really? I went to Target, use my upgrade. Ask the salesman about any early term.fee’s
from Target. He told me just getting the phone from them, not service, any fee’s would be from Tmobile not Target. About online stores like WireFly or Amazon I have no idea,if they would do that. Then again why would they? You are getting service form Tmobile not from Wirefly,Amazon etc. With tax, inrs. it came to $159.00. If only Tmobile would do this for peole who don’t mind being under contract!

      • GinaDee

This isn’t true in Targets’s case.  You don’t get a double ETF if you cancel and you can keep or change your rate plan at any time w/o penalty.  This makes them better than WireFly or Let’s Talk.  The latter 2 on the other hand generally offer phones for a much cheaper price so that is the trade-off.

The one thing you have to remember at Target is that their POS system is very slow and expect to wait a long time even if there is only 1 or 2 people in front of you.

Target should create a “store within a store,” approach like Best Buy Mobile and have multiple dedicated reps with multiple terminals to handle higher volume’s of customers.

        • Targetdog

Agreed about their ability to handle volume.  When I went, the salesguy was really nice, almost talked to me TOO much.  He was very pleasant and knowledgeable.  I knew what I wanted so didn’t need any salespitch, but it was fun to BS w/ him about the strengths/weaknesses of the major 3 carriers.  He knew his stuff (except for when he said TMO was LTE and Verizon was HSPA+ lol).

As a plus though, Target will transfer all your data/photos over from your old phone to your newphone, while you wait, for FREE.  They told me this is something that TMO will charge you for, ir you buy at TMO.  And Target also gave me credit for my old phone and an old digicam.  Is TMO going to do that?

All iin all, it was a great experience.  It did take prob 30-40min though.  I was there at a slow time. It would have sucked to be the customer behind me! :)

Umm the ATT phone is the infuse 4g.. its a single core phone with 512Mb of ram… its outdated and IMO it should be free, the only reason its not is because of the screen (IMO)

The GS2 is dual core, 1gb ram, and will get better support than the Infuse. IMO the 70~ dollars is worth the dual core alone.

      • Anonymous

Just was not talking about The Infuse, was also about The HTC Inspire. Not sure  if that phone is better or not as The GS2. I just would like to know why can’t Tmobile have the same kind of sales the other big 3 have. 1cent,new customer or upgrade. Not sure what phones the big 3 had on sale when they were 1cent. Do the other 3 charge their
customers upgrade fee too? Or is it only Tmobile that  does that? Yes I did go get The GS2 $159.00 tax,and insurance.

    • Yousef Nasrallah

i upgraded  my phone with contract 6 days ago and yesterday I returned the phone, unopened and brand new as it is. I won’t be charged any fees  right? will TMO refund me the total price paid including tax and upgrade fee i paid?

    • Targetdog

Hmm, unopened.  Let us know.  I thought TMO charged $50 re-stocking fee, no matter what…

  • Ekoy

I upgrade and got GS2 from Target about 15 days ago for $199. I called them today and they said to come over and they’ll give me the difference. i love target!

    • Hdofhado

      at target

    • Donte Mason1

If I already bought on can I return and get the difference of 129 and 99 thus 30 bucks back?

      • Ekoy

just go to store with your reciept and they’ll give you the diffirence . no need to return the phone.

  • Rosario

I bought this at best buy for $150 for my sister. Wondering if I go back with the receipt if they’ll price match it for the $130? What pisses me off is that I had $60 in target gift cards I could have used for this.

    • Targetdog

TargetMobile alerperson told me they DO price match, for 30days.
Also, why not go back w/ your giftcards and get a refund on your credit card.

Or did you buy at TMO??…

  • Yahoo

Anyone know if the $99 SGS2 on 12/17 is legitimately happening at Target?

    • Bklynman

      Yes it is until 12/24!

  • michael

how can i get this i ad. so i can have tmobile price match it.

    • Bklynman

      Get today’s Target flyer.

  • VonBlaze

I got one yesterday for $129.99 at my local target store.  They were very low on inventory, so I had to go sign up at my local store, and pick it up at another local store.  Is it really going to be $99 this weekend?  If so, am I able to get a price adjustment?  Also does T-Mobile do price matching at the stores?

    • Yahoo

ok it looks like T-mobile is doing $99 in store on the 17/18th and Target will price match that if you can get an actual T-mobile Ad.  I don’t think Target will allow printed ads to be pricematched.

    • Anonymous

If they do have them on sale for $99.00,just do what am I going to do,bring my receipt, back
to the store and get my $30.00 back.

  • Nayeftissa

I live in northern va and i can not find a store that has this special…. any help guys thanks

    • Anonymous

I would call Target 800 #,email them, and snail mail the head of crs via certify mail, and see what they can do for you! Also call Tmobile or go into a Tmobile store and see if they would price match. The $99.00 is good until the 12/24.

  • Tet

are we getting galaxy s2 white also?

  • VonBlaze

Today’s price is now $99.99 for new accounts and upgrades at Target!!!  Woot Woot!!!

  • Bklynman

    • VonBlaze

In my best Borat Voice…  That’s Nice! I got my $30 too!  The guy at the store said that it is unlikely it will go any lower soon, but come back and check, we may have a greater refund!

      • Anonymous

Didn’t think ask, about it going lower! If it does go lower that means some time in The New Year another do all,end all super phone will be coming out! LoL! I still remember when it was a big deal to have camera on your phone! LoL!
