MetroPCS Thinks They Can Steal Carly Away From Magenta

This MetroPCS “attack” ad is hardly the first time we’ve seen a small regional carrier attempt to poke fun at T-Mobile’s sorrows but this time, they’re trying to steal Carly. I’m not having any of that. Nobody steals Carly. So listen up Ranjit and Chat, you can make fun of T-Mobile all you want but when you try and steal our most valuable player, you better bring more than a phone-in”tech and talk” help show.

On a more serious note we’re dismayed that the smaller, regional players find T-Mobile in such a vulnerable position that these ads are the result. Sure this is marketing and advertising at work and we’re not opposed to that, but when they think it’s ok to steal our marketing MVP, it’s war. So bring it on Chad and Ranjit…bring it on.

    This is off-topic, but has anyone experienced 40 minute wait times for T-Mobile customer service? Also, when they answer, it’s usually a person with a really thick accent. I think they finally outsourced all of customer service. I miss the good old days where it only took 3 minutes to talk to a friendly T-Mobile rep.

Now we don’t have that anymore, so our key asset is a girl and a pink dress. Let me tell you, knowing she does commercial for T-Mobile really helps my phone experience.

     I’ve been with Tmobile since 1998, used to be called Omnipoint back then. I’m on EM+ flex pay, 500 min, unlimited text and 5gb full seed data. Tmobile is texting me this 2-3 times a week ” Update your plan today. Keep your same minutes and features & price, no contract required. Call 611 for details” 

    After calling just now and spending 30 minutes on the phone all they could offer me was the $70+ tax Montly4G plan. I said no, it would put my bill over $80/ month. I then asked then to do just as the text FROM THEM say and leave everything as it is, can’t do. So what the hell?

     Metro PCS is more than right in making fun of Tmobile, the SUCKKKKKKKKK big time!!!!

      That sounds like you have no Social security, or No credit whatsoever. If you’ve had flexpay all this time, you should be able to do this providing you can prove identity (Possibly meaning heading to a store to show government issued ID), and providing a Social Security Number. I am 100% sure you can keep the exact same plan if you want, pending you pass the standard credit check.

      If anyone listened to my recent phone calls to Tmobile, they would create a new commercial.  I don’t know if it will do anything but I just couldn’t take it anymore and just emailed the CEO and all top executives.  Hopefully someone will respond. At a minimum, they’ll hear about whats going on from a customer’s perspective

      Yeah it takes a long time and getting through a lot of automation to get to a live operator.  Just hitting zero or saying operator or representative doesnt seem to work until you get through 3 or 4 menus.  You’re right, it used to work right away.  Now you have to hear your account balance and a bunch of other stuff you don’t want to hear

    Dont know why metro even considers themselves as good as t mobile, they hace a weak network and little to no 4g. Their phones are ok but considering the fact that you have to pay 1-5 dollars/each for most of the extras included in normal t mobile plans and the fact that you have to PAY a 3-5 dollar fee to avtuallt pay rooter bill it’s not that good of a deal.

    Okay Metro PCS that kinda low since your service sucks. However T-mobile needs to work out a plan get to stay float if the merger won’t happen. Sprint as of right now is looking pretty because yesterday their iphone 4s sale was the best one they ever had.  That 20 billion worth of iphones seems to have paid off.
