HTC Radar 4G Hands-On Video

Chalk up yet another hands on video of an upcoming T-Mobile phone we’ve been eager to see in the form of the HTC Radar 4G. Once again our friend Hairon Baker landed the 64 second clip of the Radar 4G in action. Featuring a 1GHz processor, 3.8″ display, 5 megapixel camera with 720p video, front-facing camera and of course the “Mango” version of Windows Phone 7. T-Mobile has promised availability “in time for the holidays,” though we’ve seen November 2nd as a rumored date for launch. Enjoy some Mango goodness.

Hurry and release it so I can get rid of my G2x. No diss but I’m done with Android.

I am interested to try out Windows Phone 7.  Would this be a good choice or is there something else in the pipeline that I should hold out for?

    • Anonymous

The Nokia phones are in the pipeline. They say they are going to be the “Hero” phones of Windows Phone.

I’d wait a couple weeks for Nokia World and see if anything is announced for T-Mobile (its next week or the week after IIRC).  If they don’t have any T-Mo phones in the pipelines then the Radar is probably your best bet as I don’t think Sammy is bringing anything our way and I think HTC devices are superior to LG (should LG even release a WP7 device for T-Mo).

I hope they get the price points (and rebates) right at the start. The rush to WP7+Nokia based on fans of Nokia won’t last forever.  The pricing needs to be right. I’ve been waiting for this… and as I wait I keep researching what I am going to need to do to move contacts, set up email, etc.   I’m finding myself very disappointed that MS is not making this as easy as it should be (no sync to PC, all Cloud!!!!) I hope Nokia has grounded MS in some of the reality that many of us DON’T want to send/keep everything through the Cloud! Nokia had some pretty reasonable software to keep you moving though the ranks of their phones over time. It’s one reason I stayed with them..

Im with blktree here, release it so I can ditch my G2x.

  • Smith22t

@E3. What’s wrong wit your g2x??? Mine works perfectly

Why the chin on the bottom?

  • Respawn

I just can’t get into the tile look of the Windows Phone 7 OS. I don’t like it, even though I think the OS itself is very nice. I’m more of an “icon” type of guy, which is why I love Android.

God, I’m fearing the coming of Windows 8 for PCs … unless of course they allow you to revert to the classic Windows 7 menu style. Otherwise, I’ll either get a Mac or stick with my 7 PC.

I know where talking phones here, not PCs, but it’s beginning to look a little blurry with the distinction in some ways….

    • Respawn

Forgot a parenthesis and “we’re” not “where”.

As it stands right now you can revert to the traditional windows. You don’t have to use the metro tiles. That is, at least for desktop, not sure about tablets.

5 Megapixel Camera or display?  lol

  • AndroidLuv3R1

I love my G2x as well

    • On2something

Hey, I’m thinking about betting the g2x because I can’t afford the gs2. Do u think the g2x is the best way to go? Im choosing it because it 8gb on board memory.

      • Eric

The G2x is a great phone especially since it just dropped in price on contract. 100 bucks after rebate for a dual core Android phone that runs Gingerbread is awesome.

Jesus, that XL looks obnoxiously huge!

Aaron:  ”This is one of the first Mango devices that we launched…”

So Aaron secretly works for T-Mobile?

  • Frigadroid

Hairon lol! I keep picturing him waking up from a 2 day bender and giving his G2 review. In his vomit stained tshirt and that unkempt hair. Stop I can’t take it anymore I laughed so hard it made my ribs hurt.

“1GHz processor, 3.8″ display, 5 megapixel display with 720p” yaaawnn 5MP is sooo 2007 lol

“5 megapixel display with 720p, front-facing” THis sentence alone is typed beyond retarted. Shouldn’t it say 5 Megapixel camera with 720p video recording and a front facing camera.A MPX Display? with 720p… 720p what? It’s an HD Screen? Confusing typing is fun.

      1.  I hate insensitive idiots that blithely use the word “retarded.”
      2.  Learn to spell it if you are going to chastise others.

        1. Yet it is ok for you to resort to name calling because of someone else’s choice of vocabulary.

        2. Whatever makes you feel better about yourself.
