Samsung T679 Passes Through FCC On Way To T-Mobile

The Samsung T679 is the newest T-Mobile bound phone to pass through the FCC and is expected to look similar to the recently unveiled Samsung Galaxy W. The Galaxy W is a small step down from the Galaxy S but still sports specs that will allow for plenty of potential buyers. The T679 is expected to sport a 1.4GHz processor, 3.7″ WVGA 800×480 screen, 5 megapixel camera and a 1500mAh battery. While those specs aren’t likely to sway Galaxy S II or HTC Ruby buyers, they are still good enough to put this phone in the middle-upper category.

    I hope the S2 is dual-core 1.4 or 1.5 GHz.

I would’ve never thought a phone with a 1.4ghz processor would be categorized as midrange…..haha my g2 is considered highend with nearly half the clockspeed! My how times have changed! And someone correct me if I’m wrong, but wouldn’t this phone have the highest clockspeed of any single core smartphone if it was released today?

    • Anonymous

Our g2 is considered midrange now lol with all those dual core phones

I would definitely get it. I love how they’re giving options. Some people may not want a super smartphone, or a smartphone w/ a huge screen, & this is that “option.” But, I think I’m done w/ Android after all the issues I’ve had w/ them with the 5-6 Android devices I have had, surprising enough, EXCEPT for the Motorola Cliq people talked so badly about.

If samsung hadn’t torn their panties with me on the behold II I would get one of these myself.

Good thing I decided not to get the Behold II, & went for the original Vibrant.

Behold ll was the first Samsung android try. It was a  mess but the galaxy S 4G was a great phone even with the samsung bloatware.

  • J. Williams

its not a step down, as it has better specs than the current galaxy!

I might buy this as a backup since the s2 is way too big, I have a sensation and I think its big enough

  • MIKEEEEE

i sure wish someone would make an ANDROID flip.

a small bloatware free device to put my simcard in when going out to dinner, movies or on the town.

something the size of a RAZR.

I would be an idiot to ever pay full retail prices at places like Walmart or Bestbuy. I sold a 37″ HDTV to my boss for $600 that I only paid $78.24 for. I use
