HTC Radar 4G Passes Through The FCC

The timing of the FCC passage of the HTC Radar couldn’t be any better as it comes on the heels of our in the wild shots. Windows Phone 7 fans definitely have something to look forward to in the midst of all the iPhone speculation and lengthy list of upcoming Android launches.

The FCC docs don’t provide us much intel but considering we’ve already got most of the specs we need from HTC directly, what more do you want? Oh right…how about a release date and price? Well we’re just going to have to sit back, relax and keep waiting for those tidbits of info.

Not a bad phone at all and I guess it’s better then nothing, but I’d still rather have the Titan or Focus S. Come on this can’t be the only new WP7 device coming to T-Mobile.

Not really much of an option, 1 new device, is it? At&t got 3 incl 2 high-end ones and T-Mo goes for the low end. Not going to do anything for WP7 adoption on T-Mo, but then I guess that was the intent all along.

I have family plan (5 Lines) with T-Mobile and was not able to upgrade phones last year (wanted to get HD7) but now all 5 out of contract and I can.

If that’s the only Windows Phone T-Mobile is going to offer then I have no option other than moving to another carrier (AT&T).

Maybe AT&T is more expensive but at least they support Windows Phone much better than T-Mobile and as someone who likes Windows Phone and support it I see more options on AT&T and prefer to do business with a company that support Windows Phone and give more options to customers.

So I amjust waiting for now. If T-Mobile offer phones like HTC Titan then great going to get 5 of them if not then goodbye T-Mobile.

Rolland would love to have you on board! With all the extra money you’ll be spending and all the problems with customer service you’ve no doubt read about here, thing’s will be peachy king for you.

          I think it’s actually peachy keen…

Why not just bring the AT&T phones that you like.. over to T-Mobile and be contract free? Unlock them, that’s the beauty of using sim cards, just pop in the T-Mobile sim card onto the HD7 phone that you wanted so much… Why pay more when you can stay with T-Mobile and use the phone that you want? I’m using the iPhone 4 with T-Mobile right now, and works totally fine :) And I save $30 by using T-Mobile than over paying AT&T!

Many of those smartphones on AT&T doesn’t work with T-Mobile 3G or 4G and u have to use EDGE which is sucks. That’s one reason people don’t do it.

I rather wait for a Nokia WP7 even if its on AT&T you know Nokia uses 5bands on their phones including 1700 for TMO

this will be a nice device, but I wish we had the titan as well.  hard to believe we’re not getting it right away.

My only gripe is that it does not have a removable battery….not for swapping prepossess, but, for when the battery cannot hold charge anymore. I hope they don’t expect us to send the damn phone to HTC just to change the battery.

Im waiting to ditch Android and go to Window phone. I want the bigger screen like the HD7 or bigger. lol

I really don’t want to change carriers but, T-Mobile….don’t you want happy customers? You’re not making us happy. We wanna grin from ear to ear, you’re just making us..smile. Lol.

Its just laughable the way David is trying to get people all excited about this phone. This is just a mid tier phone and I just hope that they have a trick up their sleeve because just THIS PHONE is not something to get excited about if you are signing a contract!!! If its the only WP7 phone, I hope they are not going to charge $200 for it and sell the Sensation at the same price! I love WP7 but I will pass on this. At least try to get BOTH the Radar and the Titan. How do you go from the HD7 to the Radar? I am just hoping there is at least 1 more device to choose from. I bought the HD7 full price and now both my lines are out of contract and was hoping they get the Titan so I can buy that and the GSII but looks like its going to be only a dream. Tmo called me to make me a great offer 2 days ago but not going to sign a contract for the Radar. Nope.

And this phone can not compete with the iphone or the higher end Andriod phones so it shows clearly what Tmo thinks of WP7 if it turns out thats the only phone they are going to offer for the holiday season( really hope not). Now I know how Verizon and Sprint customers felt like earlier in the year or should I say still feels like?

I’m pleasantly surprised by the support Wp7 is and has been recieving by the Tmo customer community.  One of Tmo’s failure to retain customers is their lack of choice.  Not all new and old Tmo customers want Android nor do they want low tier devices compared to other carriers.  As I have seen, Tmo’s value plans haven’t worked for them.  Other carrier’s prices maybe slightly more but customers get what they pay for; better reception, better phones, and more choices.  It appears though Tmo is not listening to their customers and to any pontential customers.  Bring in the top end phones (not just android), add the value plans, and put up more antennas for better reception and Tmo will really compete!

The only thing this beats my Leo (HD2) on is…wait, nothing! My Leo
runs mango like a champ, but if you want me to add 2 more yrs to my
contract I need some HDMI output(or at least dlna) 8mp cam. and at least
16gb of storage and 1 gig of ram. Oh yea, and a decent sized screen for
web browsing. Did someone just say HTC Bresson or Titan? I’ll wait…
ATT is not an option…yet. That may change if I’m still waiting come
    January

  • nerdlust

I had a chance to play with windows phone and a mango installed hd7 my mind was blown. I’m a android user my buddy is die hard apple fan. We left the mircosoft store both saying wow. It was so smooth and I tried my best to throw everything I could at the phone but it would not lag. My only gripe was no flash support but everything was smooth as butter.

Im getting pretty pissed off that sprint only has one windows phone and it has a crappy keyboard. att and t-mobile seem to be the only ones getting any new ones. hopefully sprint steps up and brings more. im hoping for maybe titan or some nokia phones
