HTC Omega Full Spec List Leaks Out

We’ve already got a pretty good idea of what we can expect when HTC makes their (rumored) official unveiling of the HTC Omega this evening at their UK event. In case anyone needed another dose of Windows Phone 7 HTC Omega spec goodness before tonight here we go:

  • 3.8″ LCD display
  • MSM8255 1.5Ghz processor
  • 512MB of RAM
  • 8 megapixel camera
  • Front facing camera
  • Expected 14.4 HSPA+ speeds

If all the rumors for this evening’s event come true we should see an official unveiling by HTC with a hopeful announcement for US availability.

  • Wow, a “reasonable” screen size on a handset that promises to be “nippy”, sign me up.

  • you lost me at reasonable 3.     —–>NO SALE!!!!
And why does everyone keep saying a MSM8255 at 1.5 Ghz  is HTC adjusting the clock speed of the 1Ghz processor?

  • What the heII is reasonable about that puny screen?  Who are they marketing to?  Not the HD2 or HD7 owners?  We are waiting for an UPGRADE!!!  not some puny screen on some fugly colored POS!

This is probably aimed at the same people the low to mid ranged Android phones are aimed at. I’m guessing this’ll be released with the $80 contract price we’ve been seeing quite a bit of. If the HD7 is still available come January when I can upgrade, I’m going to have a tough time deciding.

  • So very disappointed.  So AT&T gets the phone I want and T-Mobile gets stuck with this.  Am I supposed to give up my 4.3in screen for 3.8in on this ugly phone?  Please Samsung.  Give T-Mobile a 4.5in Super Amoled WP7.5 device.  PLEASE!!!!!

  • You know I seriously don’t understand why Windows Phone 7 can’t have “killer” hardware, they seem to only want to be at “just good enough”.

    • Maybe they’re focusing on price first? The best way to get their new OS and devices into the hands of as many as possible may be to give people an attractive price point (or a pocket-able form factor/size).

      Maybe.

The screen size is perfect IMO. I don’t want a mini tablet, I want a phone.
Now wait, I thought this was supposed to have SLCD, not LCD. Hoping this is a typo/oversight.

    • I agree on screen size wholeheartedly! Sizes are starting to get a little big for the pocket/hip.

Been wanting to try wp7 but I dunno if I want to get rid of my sensation. Oh what to do!?

  • I think I prefer the look of the silver one MUCH better: http://www.engadget.com/photos/htc-radar-hands-on/#4408757

Great specs…WP7 does not need dual-core or lots of RAM to run smooth.

  • Jaybru91

.2 inch larger screen and little more RAM and this phone would be worth.the inevitable high price tag for an HTC phone..been wanting to try wp7 for a while now…hope they bring some thing like this to us cellular
