Looking For A Less Expensive Blackberry Bold 9900 For New Activations?

If you’re looking for a less expensive alternative to buying from T-Mobile directly, Blackberry Bold 9900 buyers should take a peak at Walmart’s pricing. New customer activations get a STEEP discount with a low price of just $119.99 on a two year contract. Things aren’t as good on the two year upgrade front with a discounted price of $314.99 making T-Mobile’s already ridiculous $299.99 after $50 mail in rebate pricing look better. Still, for those looking to grab a Blackberry on a new line this is a deal you likely won’t be able to pass up given the significant price difference.

My 22 month upgrade is in December so I’m pretty sure around that time they will have dropped the price for the holidays so I will just wait.

They’ll probably have a Pre 3/Touchpad type of price drop by that time…

Now that sounds reasonable for BB.

    Not buying this one.

Well the only problem is this device will be out of date by the first of the year when pbx comes out. This device won’t be able to upgrade to that OS. It requires a dual core processor. So it looks like BlackBerry is taking a page out of androids playbook and releasing a phone that will be obsolete in 6 months.

i think RIM has been reading all the comments on here and knew no one would buy it for 350$ (300$ after MIR) on a 2yr contract so they dropped it to a more reasonable price. c’mon 350$ for a BB what am i an idiot

isn’t this particular model blackberry already out for other carriers?

Yeah. Sprint and VZW r already selling it. VZW rep I talked to last night said I could get the phone for $249 but that the price of the phone could go down depending on the type plan I got.

Played with verizons version and im coming from android nexus 1 and nexus 2 phones and i gotta say this phone feels damn good super solid build and i go through phones like crazy but im at the point where i need something very good to count on my nexus phones are great but battery sucks im a dispatcher for a high volume mail trucking contractor and i need juice but the price for 350 is crazy but im gonna get it that 4g gets me. all tmo stores in Detroit mi area dont have it till the 31st so gotta wait theres no way you can get it early.???

so I just checked Walmart’s website and it looks like they raised their price from 119.99 w/ new 2yr contract to 194.99!  And it would be 389.99 w/ a contract renewal. Without a contract, the phone would cost 649.99!!!!!  I don’t know if it is because I live in the New York area or it’s that way everywhere else.  I want this new BB but I guess I’m going to wait a little while longer.  I just wanted to inform everybody.  Hopefully it’s a typo that Walmart needs to fix

Did anyone actually get this price? I had 2 in my cart late last night trying to check out but had trouble so I let it go for the morning but the price changed to $194.99 when I got back to it. Not cool.

You would think TMO would sell it competitively since they wouldn’t have to pay a middle man but apparently logic doesn’t occur there.

  • Hybrid1976

That’s just too much! Tmo needs to truly drop that price if they want to have great sales on this device. I’m willing to pay something but not that much. I’d accept a $199.99 price after instant rebate(MIR are stupid to me). I’ll be working my butt off to get that price as low as possible. If they want me to extend my contract(since I’m not under one), I think they should be willing to give me a better, a much better, price on 8/31.
