Deal Alert: Radio Shack Having Blow Out Sale On T-Mobile Phones

Radio Shack is wasting no time making room for Verizon Wireless on their store shelves with a blow out sale on all T-Mobile postpaid devices in-store only beginning today. The T-Mobile deal with Radio Shack officially comes to a close on September 14th so we hope that this sale will run as long as supplies last. In any case you might want to take a trip to your local Radio Shack to see what kind of phones you can grab for free, nada, zip, zilch, zero, cero.

Does anyone know what Radioshack’s ETF is? I could open a new line and then cancel.  Therefore, getting a top of the line phone for $200.

it’s 300 and its straight up with t-mobile not the shack

Are you sure? I looked up Radio Shack’s website after I posted and it says $200 ETF for Tmobile.  Is it different for smartphones with data or something?

call TMobile and find out. the ETF is through them. ALSO if you don’t give back the handset you will get another charge from TMo. Trust me, it’s not worth it. Also you screw some poor person out of their commission.

Good point LehighNewb.  I wouldn’t want to do that to a salesperson.

My TMO contract is up, is there a way to swing a free phone with a new contract and not an activation?

Just got back, they had the Sidekick and G2x in stock, nothing else. Guy didn’t hear anything about the free phones, just reduced in price.

I don’t think the more expensive phones will be free for upgrade, but the prices would still be better than a TMo store. Your store can also order phones for you, so if you really want to go for it, they can get what you need.

I’m surprised Radio Shack still existed after all these years.

T-Mobile phones could have sold better if they would have put the phones in newspaper ads instead of just AT&T/Sprint.

called my local radioshack… he said they didn’t have the sensation in stock, but they can order it and have it shipped to the store for me :)

      They say how much?

      • Anonymous

I went there and picked them up… he actually just had a guy run to another store for me and get them.  I didn’t pay anything.  The only thing I’m paying is the $35 activation fee for each line (I got two of them), but that just shows up on the service bill. So $70 for two Sensation 4G’s.  I’m happy :)

Only downside is I lost my old numbers and the guy said they can’t port them… so now I have to memorize a new number and send one of those annoying mass texts to all my friends lol

Go to your local T-Mobile store and ask them to port it for you. A manager did it for me at my store, eventhough TMO customer support wouldn’t do it. They told me thato tge number for my Vibrant had to stay on the phone and couldnt be moved to my new Sensation, even thought the Vibrant was being given to my son. I fought with customer support to not avail. The TMO store manager fixed it all for me in about 20 minutes.

I just called TMO customer support and cancelled the EM+ plan and they told me that not only can I NOT transfer my old numbers, but I’m stuck with service until the 26th of this month… so essentially I have to pay for a half month of service that I’m not going to use…. WTF?

What do you say to the TMO store manager so your number gets ported?
I’m curious about the myTouch 4G Slide, do you know how much they have at The Shack?

Does this apply to adding a new line to a current family plan? or Does that not count as a new activation?

  • Kissalvoe

The employees in the stores in NM are idiots. First there isn’t a promo, they don’t even sell T-Mobile. Then it’s for all new lines, including add-a-lines. Then it’s only for new accounts. Add-a-lines would be part of upgrade pricing. WTF.

    • Gm Aharrington1

Now you know why their sales had dropped and why T-mobile is dropping Radio Shack.

      • Bh790

Actually the opposite is right, Radioshack dropped T-mobile cause they have a relatively small number of costumers 32M when u compare to verizon 103. Secondly, becoz they gonna be probably out of business next year after the merger is done.

        • Gm Aharrington1

Every single customer care that deals with Radio Shack and their sales people all know that they are a pain and lie about things trying to sound intelligent. Btw, sprint doesn’t have a ton of customers either but Radio Shack will still sell their phones. So, your comment about the number of T-mobile is pointless and without merit.
The deal has not gone through and after seeing AT&T “accidentally” putting up on th FCC website the fact of only costing them $3.8 billion to bring lte to 97% of Americans without the acquisition, then the FCC should deny it.
Suprised AT&T has not released a statement saying that someone falsified information and their “investigating into the matter”.

called.the.store in bowie, md. they had sensations and saif the deal included add a line. I drove the.distance, went through all the paperwork, had the lhone in my hands, then thry couldn’t take the $249 cost off at the register. oops, its not for add a lines. I am pissed beyond compare. called radioshack customer service, and they aren’t open on the weekends. f@ck radioshack.

  • saynototmo

No man. I’ll be getting my T-mo phones at 7-11 from now on.: “I’ll have a Slurpee. Sir, would you like phones with that?”

  • Joel

Called our local RS in Mt Pros. yesterday the rep said no HTC sensation but will probably arrive Sunday am. Now I woke up early to call again and guess what i heard “we have the HTC now ready for u” wow sounds sweet! Now I’ll go pick it up. I’ll check back to tell u more later.

  • Pesga75

So this does not include upgrades? Correct?

    • Anonymous

Only brand new activations. no upgrades, no add a lines.

  • Guest

Every RadioShack within a 25 mile radius was ordered to send their phones back to the distributor. Sounds like a good old bait and switch to me.

I got the last Sensation in the pacific northwest & hawaii

I got what seemed like the only one in portland on saturday. The manager called about 10 stores before she found one.

Yeah, I guess someone had it shipped from Hawaii but then backed out of the offer. Guess we’re lucky
