doesn’t it already have gorilla glass? do you really need a screen cover

    • darkjuan

Gorilla Glass is scratch “resistant”.  Not scratch proof.

      • Jeremiah

Have you actually tested Gorilla Glass? I’ve used forks and knives on my G2 and still scratch free. I always tell people with Gorilla Glass smartphones that screen protectors are a big waste of money…

        • Girth Brooks

Are you sure the G2 has GG?  I don’t think it does…

        • Jeffreybrown29

Had my sensation since June 9th. Screen is fine with no protection so far.

    • HonestCorner

I agree.  I want the product to have what ever coatings or materials it needs out of the box, not some expensive add on that you have to spend time applying.  Just make it what we want from the factory.  Nobody wants a screen that gets scratched… so use Gorilla Glass or the equivalent or use coatings like these (or others) from the factory.

I hate buying a phone and then having to use it gingerly until some screen protector arrives.  All phones need to come with scratch proof glass or coatings out of the box.

The only thing i dont like about the zaggs is that you have to put water on your fone to activate the film thst sucks, just imagine doing that on the back of the sensation with all the little holes is has it would get ruinned

    • Girth Brooks

Normally yes but these are new ones that don’t require it.  Look at the packaging, it’s the dry edition.

    • darkjuan

That’s why you take the back off BEFORE you put it on…

I understand this is T-Mobile’s big MyTouch branded phone but why can’t we get better accessory support on day one of a phone’s launch?  I understand with Apple’s iPhone since there isn’t much head’s up on it launching but with devices from HTC, Samsung and Motorola we should be able to have better support from day one.  I know I am not the only one that goes out on launch day to by the newest bad a$$ phone and am disappointed that there aren’t any cases, docks or anything else out yet.  With the Sensation, we knew it was coming months in advance, and a carrier in Europe had it for a month before we did.  How can there not have been anything out for it.  It was much more of a flagship phone than this and this gets day one support from Zagg?

I’m psyched about this! When i got the mytouch slide 3g i had to wait MONTHS for a zagg to be released! I wonder how these dry zaggs work out?

  • 50buckseach

T-Mobile charges more for their accessories than any other retailer I know and most of the products are not even OEM.

ZAGG is expensive as it is.  I bet you T-Mobile will try to sell these for $50 each

  • kristoffer francia

I just put this on my slide.  It was $30 from tmobile for front and back protection seems like normal pricing for zagg products.  Also it was very easy to put on.
