T-Mobile Loves You, Finally Sends Out July Scoop

Pretty simple really, T-Mobile finally sent out their July Scoop and guess what? That’s right, they still love us.  Either way, the are still running that 50% off accessories promotion, so you should probably go grab one.  While you’re at it, go unlimited with your minutes, texts and data (with up to 2 GB of full speed data).  Don’t worry, we love you too, T-Mobile.

Can we use the coupon twice? I used the bigger version once already. Since there’s no way they can track how many times you used it, can I keep going back and grabbing accessories?

    • tevroc

it doesn’t say that you can’t use it on more than one item so that leads me to believe you can use it on multiple items

      • Zolor

I already used the coupon and asked the salesperson if we could buy 2 accessories. He said no, but I’m wondering what’s stopping me from using another copy of the coupon at a different store?

  • G2x Owner

T-Mobile doesn’t love G2x owners. In fact, they are hoping that they all die in a fire.

    • Bigmerf

SO TRUE. I feel bad for G2X owners. Great phone but hampered by serious issues

      • Nottarealname

That’s what rooting is for. Love my g2x. No software issues here…

Rooted my G2 a good while back and NEVER had an issue. My sister has had 2 G2′s and my friend has gone through 2 now on his 3rd. Maybe rooting actually does help because my phone runs PERFECTLY. As far as this T-Mobile merging with AT&T I’m not excited in the least. My largest problem with T-Mobile is the whole throttling of data speed. That erks me badly. I’m throttled right now and my internet is so slow it is unmanigable. T-Mobile increasing their data speed and still throttling data is completely making entirely no sense what’s so ever. This should be their slogan. ” T-Mobile.. 4g so quick you’ll reach throttled data even faster.”

Jump on contract now? Or wait until a better deal? New price plan? Opinions? I want to jump on contract before the merger but I would like to do it closer to the deadline to preserve Tmo pricing as long as possible and get a better phone for a discount later.

    • tevroc

thats up to you.  I’m on an even more plus unlimited plan so i might as well go back under contract since this will be a cheaper bill and subsidizes a phone, and i need a new phone because my two G1′s are breaking, finally.  Plus, being under contract means that att cannot raise my bill if that god awful deal actually goes through (lets hope not though).  Contracts work both ways ;)

      • Anonymous

The law of contracts in the U.S. is that short of illegal purpose, mistake, or extreme inequities, the parties to a contract can agree to anything.

You had better read your contract with T-Mobile.  To play on your words, your contract with T-Mobile (as it is with many businesses) does NOT work both ways, it is a one way street, disproportionately in T-Mobile’s favor.

        http://litigationuniverse.com/TMobileTerminationRights.pdf

Note: Unless Washington addresses the issue or AT&T/T-Mobile formally/legally modifies existing and new contracts, when AT&T takes over the contracts can be terminated.

    • OKDave

The current deals are barely worth considering. Go back and look at the upcoming Value Plans; no handset subsidy, but really low rates for 1K and 2K minutes + unlimited texts, with the tiered “max rate” data levels. If I move to value plans (barring some other better consideration), I stand to save close to $40 a month. And I *still* might move to Verizon, who knows.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_6BZWRJOKVCUIZWHMEWABAUBLHQ gfam

Keep the lame coupon and deals, T-Mobile. Just biding my time until the iPhone 5 is released on Verizon and our meaningless five lines and tablet are gone! Folks, T-Mobile is AT&T already. All they are trying to do is fool everybody while the government approves the deal. T-Mobile DOES NOT love anyone but AT&T. Sick of T-Mobile, and even more sick of the G2X…

i agree with what u said, all these sweet nonsense deals by TMO these days is nothing but to give more new customers to AT&Tand those TMO CUSTOMERS  will all get screwed up by AT&T for 2 yrs once  AT&T owns those TMO cusotmers. lol, sad but reality!  be smart !

what  we say won’t be liked by these TMO EMPLOYEES

      • Richard Christopher Cardenas

No one will own me, if I am still in contract if this deal goes though, I’ll pay the early termination fee, and go with out a phone for a couple months, till i save up for a new plan and phone, and decide who deserves me as a customer ha

Same here, as people on here know that i’m just waiting for the next iphone to come out and i’m bringing my three lines to verizon.

Pay those outrageous plans with vzw. Iwill never go to vzw. Justraised their dataplans

        • Anonymous

I never go over 2gb with t-mobile… again price doesn’t play a big factor… but coverage and data speed…

        • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_6BZWRJOKVCUIZWHMEWABAUBLHQ gfam

The trade off between paying a little more (and it’s not an astronomical amount) and better service is worth it. Especially when stupid T-Mobile abandons it’s G2X customers, gambling that a MAGICAL UPDATE (coming an an unknown time) will fix all it’s problems. With certainty, T-Mobile will face litigation of this broke G2X phone. T-Mobile, you now suck bad, just like AT&T…

Family plan is 69.99 per line for 2lines. Unlimited everything. Or $139.98 for 2 lines. How does that not equal. $69.99 as advertise. It is the best nation wide plan with 4g. Get your facts straight.

  • CRT24

How about if T-Mobile just gave away everything for free or better yet just paid you to have their service? I bet you people would still complain about it. If/when this merger goes through you will be begging for the value/network combination that T-Mobile provides now which will no longer be available once the brand no longer exists. Even Sprint, who is closest in price to T-Mobile will have no reason to keep their prices as low as they are now because even if they go up a little it will still be less than ATT and Verizon charge right now, not to mention what prices may be once a major competitor is gone.

    • OKDave

Ummm…..isn’t that why so many consumer groups are *fighting* the merger?

      • Anonymous

I would rather pay 1200 dollars and own T Mobile.  If between all current customers we payed this amount, we could purchase TMobile for 39Billion dollars.  And then we would pay for our service but profit from profits.  Otherwise operated as non profit organization and have the lowest cost service.

It would probably make best sense to have customers that own the company with benefits (unlimited plans, etc).  So that the price of each share would have more value.  As users would prefer this option.  That way we can charge everyone else a larger sum.  Still lower than ATT or Verizon, but make good profit in the end.

That way competition would still be there,  T Mobile would actually be owned by its users and ATT would have a huge headache as nothing they offer would be competitive.

Alright, Alright, coming back from utopia.  But still, this is a better option than ATT.

Why on earth would anyone hook up with these plans when the new Value plans are literally but one week away?

  • alt-mobile

If T-Mobile loved us they wouldn’t screw us over by selling us into slavery to AT&T…

Needed to upgrade my phone.  Been with TMobile over three years and now I am on a month to month plan.  Tried to purchase the Sensation on a two year plan / nothing.  No discounts no nothing at all.  Finally payed the price plus tax.  Loyalty call didn’t help at all.  Unless you signup for a two year plan.

T Mobile understand… WE DONT WANT ATT!!! So.. I may stay with you for a bit more.  But more and more I see Sprint as the only real solution.  Your service and the way you treat your customers is going down hill..  This will make more and more customers leave T Mobile.  And all that T Mobile will have left is frequencies and towers.  As customers are getting fed up.

Thats the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard, there are customers who have been with t-mobile since before it was even named t-mobile and you want to call your 3 years tenure ‘ loyalty’? Quit joking yourself. Do you walk into your local cable provider and say “let me get the best flat screen lcd tv you have in the market..for FREE just because I’ve had cable service for 3 years” they’ll laugh you out of the damn store.

Compare prices btw at&t and vzw. Then look Tmobile plans. How can you complain. At&t and vzw require contracts. Vzw contracts with smartphones are $350 early term fees. Why are you complaining. Don’t like it leave. You will regret it. As far as customer service. You are just mad because you didn’t get what you want for free. Get real they are a business not a non profit organization.

Can anyone explain to me why people are threatening to cancel TMO if the merger goes through without any knowledge on how their TMO accounts/plans will be handled? They sound just like the fools who canceled their VZW accounts over the unlimited data plan changes fearing they would lose it without waiting for it to go through and see what happens…
