Yeap, gonna be cool with the rest of the gang. Thanks for your concern.

you probably never owned an android phone

Been using the vibrant for almost a year now and the Motorola droid…. thank you very much.

          Try harder next time.

Thanks for the support, I know i’ll love my phone just like the millions who have the iPhones.

        • Tjbunch1228

Yep the rest of us will continue using the most popular mobile OS on the planet.

        • Anonymous

and I’ll be using the most popular handset on the planet.

I dont understand these immature people… whatever phone I want to use, ITS my decision and my preference. why would I care what you think about if I don’t use the “most popular mobile OS on the planet” or not being able to customized or etc? it’s MY phone NOT yours. How about being accepting to things instead of being defensive just cus they change their preference or what not?…

        • tevroc

..and what does that have to do with the article you are commenting on??  nothing!  you came here to ruffle feathers and annoy people..  move along..

          I guess u didn’t get the point…

          It’s ok… next time.

        • Aaaa

If you didn’t care what other people thought of the phone you used you wouldn’t share what phone you plan on getting.  I choose to use the phone I like and no one else needs to know in the comment sections unless it is for a technical question.  Maybe next time instead of opening up the opportunity why don’t you just not say anything at all?  I mean, if you really don’t care of other people’s opinion on what phone you use.

This seems to be a nice upgrade to my cliq2. Not many dual core keyboard phones. Also has flash that means you can browse the entire web ;)

The T-Mobile “version of the Hercules”?  The Hercules is presumably the T-Mobile version of the Galaxy SII!

  • RAWshadTX

The specs looks nice. Real nice. Camera options looks great, I just wanna know will the Barrett eat up like they did with MyTouch 4G and will outdoor sunlight put a damper on the screen.

    • RAWshadTX

      I meant battery.

      • Trentlarge

My myTouch 4G gets excellent battery life. Much better than any other android I’ve had. It’s a side effect of android, not HTC.

yeah, the mt4gs will be my next phone.. I have minor grievances, but nothing that can be considered a deal breaker..

Honestly though, I like the looks of the g2 much better, and it will go down as one of my all time favorite devices..

I hope the g3 has similar build quality (as the g2 minus the radical hinge), a full 5row k.b., and 4in qhd display.. Not to mention the best processor available, and latest version of android.. I think that’d be the phone I could keep for a full 2yrs..

The mt4gs should be enough to hold me off until that dream is brought to reality.. *I’m looking at you, t-mobile, htc, and google*.. End rant.. lol

Is a “g3″ more than just a concept/dream of users?  Is there evidence that such a perfect superphone is coming?
I’m not arguing, I’m actually curious.

        Especially with the buyout looming..

I can’t recall where I heard the name G3D.. Though I’d prefer a qhd display, but the specs I mentioned are definately possible.. *see droid 3*..lol

Yep, the keyboard and screen specs of the Droid 3 look pretty close to perfect — for me, anyway.

        • tevroc

no 4g on droid 3..  but you can use it on cdma and gsm.. a true world phone, just no 4g networks

Envious of the MyTouch4G.  Wish there was a video that actually showed someone using the great new features of the camera.  Showing if there is lag with the duo-core going from screen to screen of the cam.  Showing the quick shutter, and panoramic shot tour.  Showing how good the AWB(auto white balance) is with different lights in the room.

The iPhone4 has great AWB in tricky lighting situations.

I will buy one when Dave does. Until then I will follow my idol and wait for the next iphone as that is what Dave does and we all want to be like Dave!

      I follow Dave Jobs…

    • CharlieSheenisaMoron

Dave just killed himself. Why don’t you follow? lol

  • Tlselissen

I don’t understand why they would take away some of the sense 3.0 features like lockscreen shortcuts and limit the number of screens to five …they always do this with the “mysense” products…

    • http://twitter.com/Smooth3d Deon Davis

My folks it can have 7 screens, u just have to set it to 7 in settings, he did not know where it was The short cuts are added to the dock.

I see the usual bloatware is installed that will ensure processes are constantly running in the background, tasking resources. The MyTouch line is to phone-dom as a pimped out Hyundai or Daiwoo to car-dom.

  • TypicalWhitePerson

Smh!! I feel sorry for Android, especially myTouch phones. It appears that it will take YEARS for them to finally come with a device that can challenge the iPhone!

Oh well, sucks for the robot! Anymore updates on that iPhone 5? My iOS collection is mighty thirsty…

    • tevroc

      …so piss on them, troll.

If you don’t like android and love iphone, what brought you to this article to comment on it?  hmmn…

Fact is android beats ios in a hundred different ways.  If you don’t like it, fine, but that doesn’t mean you should go around spouting off garbage like your above post.

    • Anonymous

Yep, the iPhone is for those who’d prefer to let Uncle Steve do their thinking for them, tell them what they should like, tell them why Flash only SEEMs good but is actually bad, tell them how they should hold their phone, etc.
Thanks, but no thanks — I don’t want that freak thinking for me.

    • jarjon76

Lol, appears it will took Apple FOUR years to finally make a decent way to notify you of ANYTHING. (Copied Android in the process, by the way).

To stop feeding your troll hunger, unless Apple makes the next iPhone with some nice hardware that won’t make it outdated a month later by an Android phone, Android will definitely keep winning.

This is a sweet device. For people that want dualcore and a keyboard this is a great option. Please stop comparing the ipod phone to this next gen. Device. Ipod phone can’t even play flash video! Is this 1997?? No sd card slot! Really and no hardware keyboard. And a 3.5 inch screen! Lol size does matter. If I have to deal with a little iphone screen at least give me a keyboard.

  • Fazelove

    is the boot loader unlocked?

    • tevroc

that is a VERY good question that I dont think anyone knows the answer to yet..

  • Christopher Pena

I saw Netflix there. This phone comes with Netflix pre-installed? And if so, is it just a version that lets you add stuff to your queue, or does it let you watch movies on it?

    • Anonymous

IF its on it, its the official app.

    No headset?

  • http://twitter.com/therealraduque rm

Nice device, but not the phone for me. I’m uncompromising on wanting a 4″+ qHD display.

the Qhd displays look washed out compared to my Nexus One and Nokia E7 displays.

love the idea of advanced camera and controls, however, a “slide” type device will never be for me.  i want advanced camera on a flat slate of touchscreen with no physical keys.  i think there is def room for innovation in the cam features of our smartphones.  samsung or apple or htc should partner with a camera leader for phone cam hybrids or accessories that would bring advanced cam functionality to our touchscreen phones.

    • Amaury Santana

ummm remember the memoir? yea garbage, get a camera if you need one so bad…

      • zps

um, no, i’ll get a phone that has a good camera.

    • Anonymous

Lol, Samsung made a GREAT camera phone, the Memoir, about 3 years ago.

Funny thing happened… Didn’t sell much.

      • zps

i’m not talking about a gimmicky camera phone.  just make the cams in the top smartphones better.

        • Anonymous

Nokia does that in their smartphones. Carl Zeiss lenses, you’ll probably be interested in them.

Absolutely I will be getting this.  My smartphone history goes as follows: CSK, SK2, SK3, BB Curve, G1, Vibrant.  I had keyboards on all previous phones and I hate not having one on the Vibrant.  When the SK4G was announced I was going to get it – not caring if I was getting a worse screen and camera than on the Vibrant.  But now they’ve announced the myTouch 4G Slide and I can have a great phone WITH a physical keyboard.  I suspect the keyboard isn’t as good as the SK4G keyboard – nothing beats a Sidekick keyboard – but I will get used to it.  A physical keyboard on a top-of-the-line phone?  I’m in.
