is this offer available for upgrades too

    • I was just about to reply saying it wasn’t available for upgrades…where do you see on the upgrade page you can enter the promo code? Can’t find it on mine.

Also, I’ve noticed that I’m not required to add a data plan or anything when going through my upgrade (on a line that doesn’t have an existing data plan).

Doesn’t the $50 Off* take the phone down to (as low as) $199.99???

Right. So which is it? $199 or $149 after rebates and credits?

      • Anonymous

@b2e8ea4a8314209e4337260b610e3cf1:disqus just said she got the 50 as a credit so I guess they are trying to match Walmart’s $148.88.  Good move on TMo’s part!

        • TweetMo

          Yeah I see it now.
It came to $292 online, incl. taxes and fees & before the rebate and credit. So we’d have to pay higher tax and deal with rebates & credits on my bill to equal roughly $192. Walmart seems so much easier.

        • MarcusDW

I went through the upgrade process at Walmart.com though and it was $249 no rebate or nothin.  Tmobile.com takes $100 off for the lil bit of hastle.  It’s still a win for Tmobile in this case.

I’m about to throw my darn Blackberry Curve (slow as molasses lol) out the window and get this phone. Can’t wait for the new Touch plus I’m eligible for an upgrade.  Hopefully when I call later on today they’ll give me a price lower than the $199 they’re advertising on the site.

Going from a mytouch 3g so I can’t wait to get this new Sensation!!! Just found this: When ordering online, click on the Mail In Rebate link in the price box. A window pops up and you click on tmobilerebates(dot)com (or just go there directly). You’ll then see a place to enter your Promotion code along with your phone #.

    • Just tried this and didn’t work for me. On the phone now with them…

      • I was just told is is for new customers but I am allowed to cash in on the $50.00. Don’t as me how but this is good news :) T-Mo must like me.

        • TweetMo

Nice. Thanks for the updates. I didn’t place the order online because of the MIR & credits. I plan to walk into Walmart, but first I’ll call cust. care & see what they say.

  • Cupcake

Playing around, I attempted to purchase the phone as a new customer and the promo code was invalid!   WTF?!!  Geez….really?

    • myachris

  • anyone try to buy the phone with a partial upgrade discount?

    • Debbie

What do you mean by “partial”? I was 6 days shy of 18 months–got full upgrade credit and received the $50. coupon code as well as the $50. rebate–should total $149 after rebate without the added taxes and other T-Mo fees (not sure what’s included there, but no activation fee).

    • Bkballer720

I just got it for a grand total of 434.99 thats tax, shipping, and etc. But I am getting a $50 mail in rebate and they credited my account $90 because I was upset that i’ve been with them so long and yet someone new off the street can get the phone for cheaper!

Just called TMO.  My wife can get the phone at $250 for the full upgrade and I can get a partial upgrade plus for $325.  I understand the partial upgrade price, but the full upgrade is $100 more than a new line.  That is not right.

  • Why I <3 T-Mobile!

Got the Sensation with the $50.00 Rebate (Visa gift card) AND that web special -$50.00 SENSATION50 in the form of a credit to my account.

    PLUS

Another -$50.00 credit to my other account for the @-Home service

    Total saved today -$150.00
    HTC Sensation cost: $50 bucks!

Best deal EVER I've had with T-Mobile

I also chatted up the CSR and made her crack up when I said, "I pray you guys don't get purchased by those assholes at ATT; they suck and you rock!"

She said, "I hope your prayers are answered because I don't want to be laid off along with the 800+ CSR reps here in this call center." She was talking to me form Ohio.

    • Fred

Wait, did you say @Home? Were you able to upgrade @Home service to a normal line? Elaborate please? Thanks!

      • I signed up for Tmobile@Home two+ years ago. That contract has since expired and falls under the same account that my Android phone is under.

The CR rep, trying to save me as much as possible, said that If I re-signed for another 2 years with Tmobile@Home I would receive another $50 dollars off my monthly bill. I asked her if they had any updated routers or free equipment she could throw my way but she said that no as this service has already been discontinued. Hope this made sense.

My past experience just reminds me of why we all adore t-mobile so much. I ordered mine for 168 with tax after 50 credit and 50 rebate, added the new lines for $10 and got a bill for unlimited everything for 170, tmobile you rule!

    • Clint

I got the EXACT same deal!! Same final price and everything (Illinois).  Nice isn’t it?
Though it took a while for them to give me the $50 credit and that was okay because it was for new customers (at the time I called I didn’t know that) but the rep. said he would give it to me anyway because I’ve never been late and been with them for years…I couldn’t say no!  I thought that was very nice of them.

T-Mobile always, and always has, treated me right…and on more than 1 occasion, probably better than I deserved ;)  I never take their kindness for granted and just when I think I got the good deal, they make it even better =D

From BBR and what to expect when we become part of a real company:

Google is two devices deep in a quest to deliver its vision of what a mobile device should be, while pushing the envelope forward as far as specifications and collaboration is concerned. BGR has exclusively learned thatGoogle’s next Nexus device, possibly called the Nexus 4G, is going to be an absolute beast. We have been told that the Google Nexus 4G will feature a next-generation dual-core 1.2GHz or 1.5GHz CPU, and contrary to reports about it featuring an NVIDIA Kal-El processor, our source indicates it’s most likely an OMAP 4460 or a, ultra low-power 28nm Krait-based Snapdragon. The display is said to be a 720p HD “monster-sized” screen, and it won’t feature physical Android menu buttons below the screen anymore — everything will be software-based. More after the break.Additionally, we can expect a 4G LTE radio, 1GB of RAM, 1080p HD video capture and playback, a 1-megapixelfront-facing camera, and a 5-megapixel rear camera. The 5-megapixel camera, however, is said to be an advanced 5-megapixel sensor delivering class-leading image quality in addition to superior low-light performance. The Google Nexus 4G will run Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and hold everything together in an ultra-thin package. We were told that Google is aiming to make the phone available around Thanksgiving, and our source couldn’t confirm a carrier, leading us to believe this might be one of the first AT&T 4G LTE smartphones. It’s also possible that this device will just be the flagship/reference Ice Cream Sandwich device — just like the Motorola DROID and Motorola XOOM were for Android 2.0 and Android 3.0, respectively — and not a Google Nexus-branded product, so we’ll have to wait and see. In either case, this sounds like an incredible phone regardless of what label is under the dress.

Looks like Amazon Wireless has it for $179.99 which is cheaper than the t-mobile special due to tax and shipping.

For me, it breaks down like this on T-Mobile

    $250 (retail price) – $50 (rebate) = $290

    $150 (subtotal) + $30 (tax) + $5.99 (shipping) + $18 (activation fee) = $253.99

On Amazon it goes like this

    $179.99 (retail price) + $0 (tax) + $0 (shipping) + $18 (activation fee) = $197.99

    • Quailallstar

Not bad but does Amazon make you change or upgrade your voice/data plan? On Tmo.com I wasn’t forced to change anything :) <3 Myfaves!

I went the tmo route becausee 100 bucks worth of free service works for me :) aside from the 50 dollar gift card.

    • Although I love Amazon, the Tmobile website deal was a lot better in my case. I didn’t have to change or modify my voice/data plan.

If you pick the phone up with Amazon they force you to upgrade to one of the new/current plans from T-Mobile; same goes for LetsTalk and other online retailers.

    • Anonymous

It is important to note that through Amazon (at least for existing customers) you are forced into the $30 4G data plan with no other data options.

      I like my $20 2GB plan myself.

It is important to note that through Amazon (at least for existing customers) you are forced into the $30 4G data plan with no other data options.

      I like my $20 2GB plan myself.

You guys do more advertising than T-Mobile themselves LOL

    • Word of mouth is the best form of advertising ;)

      So is negative news..lol

T-mobile was coo.  They transferred me to customer loyalty. I got the phone for 199.  Waived all my fees and my lowered my bill.  Only had to pay half up front and the other half in a 3 month span.

  • Sk

The reason they’re not advertising because they want all their royal customer to have the phone before new customer that’s how they treat their royal customer tmobile the best

If ya’ll are paying attention you’d see that on T-Mobile.com right now if you use the SENSATION50 promo code it deducts $50 on the shopping cart, but continuing to review your order shows you’ve actually received a $100 discount. Perhaps consider this an appeasement for Magenta not having the phone ready and available at midnight pacific time!

Well just played with the Sensation and and like Ive read in reviews its choppy and doesnt feel like a Dual Core experience compared to the G2x.

And as usual the screen is ashy(sorry @ash)

Also that instant picture taking didnt seem as instant as the videos claim

    Flame on shield up!

The $50 off did me no good as I ordered it after logging on this morning at 4:45AM CST. Didn’t even see the T-Mobile tweet until after my order was placed. It’s already shipped even so I’m SOL for the $50. @PimpStrong:disqus I didn’t notice much lag when I played around with one but if you load live wallpaper and weather widgets, etc, it does lag a bit then through the menus. Some have had less leg using other launchers such as ADW and some have been fine with stock so it may be a software glitch. Remember that the one you play around with has tons on stuff loaded onto it that’s running so I think that customizing it a bit will make it fine for me. At least until we can root it then I guarantee it will be speedy as you can clock both cores up at the same time if you want to (which is what the G2X has to do by default as they’re synchronous).

I also think they’ll release a software update to address some of the lag also. Even Samsung released an update for the GS2 for battery life and performance issues even though many reviews talked about how great it was. I definitely love the build quality of the Sensation 4G though. I’ll be peering out the window awaiting my delivery in the coming days for sure. It’ll be a helluva lot better than my original MT3G I’m currently using, at least.

have you called and asked if they’d credit your account for the 50. coupon? worked for me

  • I went to a TMo store and while I got a $50 rebate certificate, I didn’t get $50 instantly. On top of that since I was only 13 months into my 2 yr contract I was charged $435 for the phone. ::passout::

Loyal customers no discount. New customer get a discount. Is that correct?

By the way, looks like the G2X is back in stock. Wonder if they fixed it.

This Saturday you get free data for a year with a 2 yr contract at any T-mobile store. I might just wait for that.

    • Debbie

Read the fine print though . . . as customer service pointed out to me this morning, it’s for the unlimited plan only.

My local Tmobile store explained that while they can price match on new activations…upgrade price matches is up to customer care and they cannot price match upgrades at store…only on new activations. Not sure if thats their store policy or tmobiles policy.

When I add the phone to my cart on T-Mobile.com the total is 313.99.  That includes $40 in taxes, an $18.00 upgrade fee and $5.99 shipping.  The $50.00 mail in rebate also shows up.  So is there the ability to get $50 additional dollars using the code, because I don’t see anywhere on my order page to input a code??

IN THE PROMOCODE BOX TYPE IN SENSATION50. IT WORKED WHEN I DID IT.

I just got a FREE Sensation from T-Mobile without even have to sign up for data plan.  I couldn’t believe it myself.  I contacted the loyalty department and they told me it will be 250 for upgrade.  I told them why a long time customer have to pay more then Walmart.  After few minutes discussion, they gave me the phone for free by renew my whole family plan.  I’m even cool by paying 100 but hey….it free.  Can’t beat that.  Go T-Mobile customer service.

      • Jimmy

I have to renew 2 lines on my family plan which one of it just renew in January for G2.  I got a free Sensation for only one line.  My old G2 is the only one have data plan.  This one somehow doesn’t require me to sign up for the data plan which my GF doesn’t need it anyway.  Make sure ask to talk to the manager…that’s what I did before I got the deal.

My wife and I went to Walmart this morning so she could buy me an early Father’s Day Sensation. When Walmart ran our numbers we were not eligible for an upgrade so I have my wife call T-mo customer loyalty while there. She explained to them that she wanted to buy me this phone but that we a few months short on 2 of our lines for a full upgrade and if they could give one of those lines an early full upgrade. CL agreed but that we could not do it thru Walmart but over the phone with them and give it to us for $149.99 plus free shipping, waive the activation fee and have it to me in 2 days, how cool is that? This is why we have been with T-Mo for the past 8+ yrs. sure we’ve had our ups and downs but what relationship doesn’t? T-Mo Rocks m/ (* *) m/

I ordered mine yesterday online and got it for $160 after taxes. The code worked and it took of the $50 instantly for the mail in rebate so I don’t have to mess with that, and I got to charge it to my bill.

    • Anonymous

Are you a new customer? Or was this an upgrade?

    • Anonymous

Same thing with me.. I paid 172 though due to the taxes and shipping.

@tmoguy1776:disqus  I’m pretty sure it was a new line since mine was. I charged mine to the bill as well.

And I’m so happy because I ordered it late in the day, woke up this morning, checked my email, saw that it shipped, tracked the tracking # and voila, it’ll be here before 3pm yes!

  • This deal is gone from the website for those hoping to get in on this still.

    • Yasin00

I didnt use a code online, but I was told I can still do the mail-in rebate on my upgrades. See my post.

I called and tried the BOGO free and they gave me 2 for $250 and I can still use the mail-in rebate!!

  • The Questioner

Does the mail-in rebate apply to people that buy the HTC Sensation 4G without a contract?
