T-Mobile Tips Galaxy S 4G Sale On June 22nd Via Twitter

T-Mobile just loves running these web only sales and we aren’t complaining as they’ve just teased another one on Twitter for the Galaxy S 4G. Expected to go on sale on June 22nd it’s possible this is either another midnight sale or another one day special offer. In any case if you’ve been eyeballing adding a new line or jumping on board the Magenta mothership and the Galaxy S 4G is calling your name, next Wednesday might be worth the wait.

Yea, I got mine Tuesday (june 14) then it was free as well. It was web only at that time as well, but I got it thru CS. I want to say same will happen for this time.

Wow…Wheres all the negative comments. You mean no one could find anything wrong with this post?
    Refreshing.

Tmobile is trying to get rid of all their phones because they will no longer work on AT&T. The question you should ask them do you have to get the phone unlocked to work on AT&T?

      • Anonymous

actually this phone will. its quad band last i checked

        • Neverthesheep

yea im sure you did. you might wanna actually check instead of saying “i already checked”

Sounds like they’re trying to dump inventory for the upcoming SG2 4G.

When will tmobile realize they need to be there for they’re existing customers and include upgrades bc we r the ones who keep the ship floating. Just a thought!

    • Andy Christian

I agree.  They never show any love at all for existing customers.  It’s all about the new.  No wonder everyone is jumping ship!

      • Neverthesheep

-preferred unlimited data is 20 bucks as opposed to 30 from everyone else…..
-you get to keep the same features of your contract even if they have been phased out…..
-you get to keep your same plan even if its been phased out

outside of that i agree, existing customers should have some sort of standard whenever it comes to hardware. By that i mean i read about people getting the sensation for 100-300 off retail even though they are only into their brand new contract for 6-7 months, i call twice and no matter who i talk to they keep telling me that i am going to have to pay full retail.

T-mobile will never get it. It’s loyal customers that keep the from ship from sinking. Another example of a company taking it’s existing customers for granted.

This is an awesome phone but when will it get gingerbread

  • TmoNewClient

I got mine for free WITHOUT extending contract ;)

    • Nanamaya723

      How did you do that?

      • YeahRRRight

There is no way to get a 500.00 smartphone for free with no contract extension, unless A: you steal it or B: it’s an alternate exchange… Customer Loyalty won’t even give you a free phone without a contract.. They may get you the phone for free, but not without some sort of commitment… this guy is full of beans.

On the one hand, that’s cool.  On the other hand, I wanted to get my phone TOMORROW.

    HTC Sensation has:

    The Good:

    - Beautiful screen
    - Excelent Transitions
    - Great Sense UI
    - Its Fast

    The REAL BAD:

bad antenna.. wont connect to HSPA+  Had the Vibrant / G2X and Sensation side by side.

HTC Sensation should be called HTC Agravator… or HTC Frustration…

Try the following test … SPEEDTEST.NET on HSPA+

If you get a lock under an hour, let us know!

HTC… POOR JOB.  Data is the KEY to a smartphone… HTC Frustration does not provide HSPA+ data.

Tried two of your phones on two different places… same result.

My advice to all.. G2X is a better buy.

Was told in my local store that they’ll match the website price.  Now to hope for a deal on the Sidekick on Wednesday too, so my wife can get her new phone for free too.

  • Kyleresq

Does anyone know if you will have to be eligible for an upgrade to get this deal?  I got the G2 when I was about 6 months out from my last “upgrade”, it seems they were offering the G2 free to everyone, upgrade eligible or not, with a 2 year contract.  Makes sense now seeing that they are going to EOL the G2, but still…

  • dudelove

I actually got my wife and I 2 of these phones for free on wirefly almost 2 weeks ago…  they were also ffering the mytouch as well for free.. the following monday the galaxy s was at 99 and the mytouch was at 19…

  • tgdontap

off contract right now but been a tmo customer for almost 8 years. just tried to get the free galaxy s 4g deal through customer service.  no go.  best she said she could do was $167.99 with a $50 MIR.

    • podious

Just tried the same thing.  Very disappointed.  Been a customer with them for over 10 years.

    • Kyleresq

So you weren’t eligible for an upgrade and you got it for $167.99?  That’s a great deal.  Who did you talk to?

      • tgdontap

No, I’m definitely eligible for an upgrade.  I still have a moto zn5 from 2.5 years ago and have not made the switch to a smartphone yet.  Was going to if I could take advantage of this deal but since I’ve gone this long I might as well just wait for the Galaxy S2.

I’m not terribly upset about not getting the deal but they could have locked me in for another two years with it.  I’ve been on the fence as to whether I’ll stay with tmo when I do finally get a new phone.
