T-Mobile Announces Samsung Exhibit 4G And Gravity Smart Release Dates

T-Mobile just confirmed the release dates (we nailed them back on June 4th) for the Samsung Exhibit 4G and Samsung Gravity SMART via a quick Tweet. Arriving on June 22nd both devices fill a nice niche in the T-Mobile lineup allowing the Sensation 4G to remain king of the current Android hill (sorry G2x, you have to be in stock to get counted) with the Exhibit 4G somewhere in the middle and the Gravity SMART bringing up the rear. All that’s left to learn about these phones is pricing and we’re set.

All info so far has been indicating that the Samsung Hercules will be the variant of the SGSII that Tmob gets. Also I’ve heard expectations that it might come out in late August. Don’t be too excited, though, because the Hercules is expected to not have the same processor as the SGSII but rather a Qualcomm unit as well as a 4.5″ screen. Some people might like a screen that huge, but IMO that is quite simply too large and will probably give the phone unwieldy dimensions.

Anyone know is the Gravity Touch Smart will require a data plan to ‘function’ correctly. My daughter wants a new phone and I just found out about this one. I might buy it retail for her birthday on July 1st. Thanks to all.
