Mobile City Online Posts HTC Sensation 4G Pre-order Page

Leave it to a third party seller to be the first to post the HTC Sensation 4G for pre-order. In this case MobileCityOnline get’s the distinct honor of the first pre-order page for the HTC Sensation 4G. T-Mobile’s first 4.3″ Android device can be yours for the low price of $599.99. We hope that T-Mobile’s own retail price will come in slightly lower than that. Unfortunately no shipping date is provided when you walk yourself through the sales process but we imagine sales will be shipped to arrive on June 8th or leave a warehouse on that day.

Any takers?

Thanks Jamie!

  • 808 state..

    You gotta be kidding me…

  • ZeroMovement

Marti….you may be waiting a long time for the galaxy S2 on TMO. According to the roadmap…..TMO is getting it……….but……..the Samsung Hercules sounds like a beast and TMO is supposed to be getting that. Check out the AT&T Infuse which was just released…..the Hercules is just like that phone same size and everything.

    • power

Hercules is better than infuse, duel core, faster radio. and more. plus lets hope no locked bootloader.

  • j-man

I will be waiting for when it comes out. I shall wait for the subsidized phone when it comes out, $600 is somewhat too much for me to just give out.

    • Anonymous

I’ll be waiting for it to drop to $300 on eBay/Craigslist.  Hope it drops to that level before the year is out.

    • Rfg3

so keeping my g2x great phone got word that the battery life on this phone sux plus less storage. I get the rom difference but that is cancelled out because sense uses more rom

      • Anonymous

Word from where exactly. I am on the vodaphone forums as well as the xda forums and the few prelim impressions that have been given are positive for battery life. There are no reviews up yet (apart from a slashgear unboxing) so would be interested to know where you got this info.

they also  said how badass the g2x was and i went through 2 of them to get one that worked, not to mention the thousands of people on who commented on my review addressing these g2x issues that they all have as well…Yet!!! the review sites never had ne of these problems?? yea i think they were cherry picked!

        • Jabombardier

I have the G2X. I experienced the the freeze up and the self reboot twice. After that nothing. I was warned before I got it of glitch issues too. I just took it because I already know that android is unstable and that updates will be released to fix problems. So far I love this phine and my glitches are minimal an infrequent.

  • ALOHA

goodbye g2x for me, going for this one!

agreed! i got the g2x and im soooo disapointed with it!

why r u disapointed with it ………. Mine is Crazy fast compared to other android phones

Funny how it say 799.99, but our price is 599.99. If HTC decides in a update to unlock the bootloader I will gladly put down my money for this device. Until then I guess I going to wait for the nexus 3. I just hope it come T-Mobile with quad-bands. That would be sick, but then again one can dream right.

Well, Google and LG could make the Nexus 3 a pentaband HSPA+ device. We’ll see.

      • Oreo

I really do hope so, because the new rumor is that it might have a retina-like screen made by LG with higher PI than the iPhone 4. For now though it is a waiting game.

        • http://pharaohtechblog.blogspot.com/ Conan Kudo (???????)

It’s not much of a rumor when we already know that a GSM+GPRS+EDGE+UMTS+HSPA handset by the name of LG-P930 has a 4″ display and has a resolution of 720×1280. All we don’t know is what the handset will be released as. Will it be an LG branded device? Or a Google branded one?

        • Oreo

In the end it still is a waiting game, I just hope it’s the latter. I would love me a Google phone with that type of screen and tegra 3. Chills run through my spne just thinking about it. Ha Ha

I like this phone very much! I brother have  HTC Sensation 4G  and I want!

  • Wilma Flintstone

$599?  I hope this is just preorder.  I know some preorders are higher than what it’ll be off contract in store.  I hope this is one of the cases.  Otherwise, I’ll wait for a price drop or if the N9 comes out.

  • Mopar6464

For $799.99 i would buy a ipad or something equivalent.

    • j-man

you can buy a decent laptop with that amount of cash lol

  • http://twitter.com/Emir_Mu Emir

Well, at that I price I know what I won’t be buying.

  • Aerofanbig

This isn’t really out of line. The 799 is probably made up, but many 3rd party retailers sell top Tmo phones for 499-599. Thats what Target, Walmart and Radio Shack are selling the G2x off contract I believe. And buying direct from Tmo, off contract, is almost always 100-150$ cheaper. I imagine you’ll see the Sensation for 499$ straight up from a Tmo store.

     the prize is insane!

who would wanna buy it for that price if T-Mobile gonna sell it off contract for $499.99 and $200 with contract?get real mobile city!!

    • j-man

exactly my point, it comes out in ~3weeks, not too bad to wait for a phone.

      • Anonymous

yea top of that T-Mobile i think is the only carrier that lets u buy the phone off contract with monthly installment payments which is really convenient for customers.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Ian-Kennedy/1399157722 Ian Kennedy

This is standard for non carrier pricing. OntheGo has the Flyer for $929 with TMO 3G bands. Crazy.

  • Antmarini

    When is Tmobile beginning pre-order?

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Raphael-Mastromonaco/615871703 Raphael Mastromonaco

so do we go for this or the hercules from samsung? so far ive been dissapointed with touch wiz and i know theres the new 3.o coming out but is it gonna hog all the memory like 2.0 and give the phone lag issues. I had the incredible when i was on verizon and it was by htc and that was a great phone. from the looks of it this htc device seems promising…then again so did the G2x and i cant stand that phone!

  • someone

when is the doubleshot launching, is it still july 6th?

  • Osama

Will keep my g2x (got a amazing one)
the HTC sensation is more for for androids first travel or just a normal person! Not for hackers and nerds or crazy geeks!

    • Anonymous

i’ve mistakely hit the “liked” button.

      • Osama

I just don’t like the benchmark scores I saw, too low for a “powerful” device, but love HTC just don’t like this concept of super device!!
        Go Tegra….and vanilla ….lol!

    • Jerzeeloon

Yes I agree with ghost even though the sensation has a locked bootloader its a much better device then the G2X and gives android entisiast all the more reason to pick it up to see who can gain root 1st

  • Robertparrish79

I don’t know if this has been said yet but if you read the specs the pre order is for a unlocked gsm phone to work on att or any other carrier who uses a sim card

    • Rawr4dj

your actually right and wrong. If the carrier that you have isnt T-Mo or doesnt use T-mos bands then the phone Essentially loses its 4G capabilities and its 3G capabilities making i somewhat useless to me

  • Meagan

Tmobile USA will finally have a 4.3″ Android with Flash(led), a YEAR after Sprint released theirs.
And after another carrier already released a 4.5″ Android with Flash(led).

I can’t believe Tmobile USA was the first to have Android, but now the last to sell larger screened Androids.

    Better really late, than never…

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Ian-Kennedy/1399157722 Ian Kennedy

Yeah. becuase we all know that unless it’s 4.3″ and has an LED flash the phone is a total failure. I mean the G2X, what a POS!

      • M1

I agree, if a flagship phone doesn’t have the best of breed features, it actually is a failure in my book.  I’m sick of the Apple style business model.  LED flash has been a requirement for me since blackberry introduced it like 10 years ago.  It’s about time.

  • Kitpogi

    Just ordered mine! Go HTC!

  • Bigjohn7187

they must be insane if they think people will pay that much for something that is not running honeycomb…

    • Anonymous

      Honeycomb sucks

    • SuperNova32

      honeycomb is for tablets . . .

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_VNSSLT57DVMGYAE4XWJSNPXZI4 Saceed

i think he means that with that money he could buy a tablet.

  • Bob_J

Not impressed with some of the new videos today of the Sensation from the UK release.   The is some minor lag and the browser speed is so-so.  It’s a very good phone compared to what is out there now, but it definitely ins’t great.

Now I don’t know what to do.  I was torn between the Sensation and the S II.  However, the S II may be more powerful, but it seems to have many other problems (GPS, processor heat, wifi issues).  If I had to choose between the two, I’d probably pick the Sensation.  But I am not pleased with either.  Next up I was thinking about the HTC Holiday or Samsung Hercules.  But those both have the same Qualcomm processor as the Sensation (different models, same specs).

I can more about the overall experience than the benchmarks (that no one how they really work).

    • ALOHA

       omg! really?!?!?

      SMARTPHONE is not always PERFECT!

  • DIAMOND PRINCE

For ppl with samsung 4G phones there’s an update coming very soon. It fixes phone from freezing and forceclose on apps also fixes your phone with the isuess some of you are having with wi-fi & TETHERING. – DIAMOND PRINCE :D

  • Noel

I will watch the reviews and videos of the Sensation carefully to see if my decision to wait a few month for the upcoming Nexus phone is a wise one. My N1 still works gr8 so i can afford to w8 a few month for the Nexus to come out b4 i truely choose on a phone that will serve me for a year or so. The rate at which gr8 devices are coming out it is hard not to be tempted to upgrade or get a second or third.

This is gonna be a hot phone as long as they promote it correctly, and not waste time with other nonsense. Advertise T-Mobile, and you can gain some ground.

  • http://twitter.com/DannOfThurs DannOfThurs

Just an added reality check – Samsung’s still slacking on updates, and at the rate that they’re popping new phones there’s no reason to expect anything other than a single update in the 18-month carrier-friendly “treatise” that they agreed to (you can read more on that here – http://saf.li/083cQ). At least with HTC I know I’m going to get updates, and fixes, regardless of how many models they have out there.

  • NFLVikings28

The cases are now showing up in Amazon for the HTC Sensation or just search HTC Sensation in Google and it shows up.
