Even More Plus Unlimited Plan Will Be $59.99, Quietly Launches April 13th

Even More Plus customers who caught wind of last nights Even More $79.99 “Unlimited” Everything plan were understandably upset that they wouldn’t be able to take advantage of this offer. Well of course we did a little more digging and as you can see by the image above, Even More Plus customers will in fact be able to take advantage of this plan at the wonderful price point of $59.99. That will include Unlimited Talk, Text and Data with the stipulation that data is really only unlimited in the sense that 2 GB’s of data is provided and beyond that data speeds are throttled till the next billing cycle. Fail T-Mobile.

It wasn’t too long ago that Even More Plus plans were removed from T-Mobile.com and advertisements in retail stores across the country and thankfully those customers haven’t been forgotten.

DEAL BREAK for Even More and Even More plus! Now, just improve the marketing department and advertise BEASTLY!

    • Tyler

I just switched back to Even More Plus 500 so this is definitely an option for me. I don’t care about the 2Gb data cap since I have a EDGE capable BB 8900 lol. My question is would my total cost be $59.99/mo or would it be more since I have a BB?

      • Anonymous

It says right in the picture, $5 addon for BB BIS/BES or just BES, otherwise it’s just $59.99. Do you connect to corporate email?

    • http://www.volkswagen.de Quailallstar

David wrote that this will be quietly launched… Am I assuming this plan will only be available via phone and or in-store only? Hope not!

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_GRIFVUHCR7SCF2J4ACDIVSVGJM Hilton T.Y

Interesting. The thing that scares me is I have 500 mins a month and never use it, but I tether often and use over 2GB on my true unlimited plan for about the same price with unlimited texts. Is it really worth a data cap to get unlimited minutes I may or may not use. One other thing. Will we be left out with AT&T merge since technically I don’t have a contract plan to be grandfathered in.

    • Anonymous

5gb is nice but last month i used 4k minutes. Does EM+ include nights/weekends/mobile to mobile?

      • remister

        Yes, EM+ does nights/weekends/mobile2mobile!

    • Mbsoul

Did you finish your contract? they should still honor the initial contracted price you signed up for. I’m still on a previous plan that I signed on before and they do not support for the past two years.

  • Anonymous

Goodbye simple mobile, hello even more plus :D

  • remister

I currently have Even More Plus with 500 min, unlimited text and data fro $59.99. I really don’t think that this is better option, as my data cap is at 5GB, not at 2GB. I am glad that I don’t have to use a lot of my minutes.

    • Anonymous

I average 2GB every month. I’m grandfathered to $20 unlimited data plan. This is still a great deal even if it gets throttled once you hit over your cap instead of getting charged per MB.

      • remister

I just got a text message that I past my 5GB mark. Only a few more days of throttled speeds. I hope they add a 10GB cap!

        • Saivngjessie

They are supposed to. Right now it is only for webconnect but I’m sure its only a matter of time before you see a 10 GB cap

  • HTC_1

    Nice

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_6BZWRJOKVCUIZWHMEWABAUBLHQ gfam

This is obviously part of the MASTER plan of assimilation into the AT&T type of data plans. They should tell the whole truth. After 2GB of data, you are throttled to dial up like speeds… Shame, SHAME!

    • Anonymous

      Unlimited data. Not Unlimited speeds…

      • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_6BZWRJOKVCUIZWHMEWABAUBLHQ gfam

Correct, and that is why you buy a 4G phone…to surf at dial up speeds? Oh, the crap that AT&T will bring, lol! Yup, and AT&T DOES NOT EVEN allow unlimited data unless you have a grandfathered plan and then their speeds, well, you really can’t call it speeds, their data connections SUCK…

        • Anonymous

          a) this deal might not even go thru. b) It’ll be a long while before it does go thru if it gets approved. c)If it does go thru, the one good thing, is that AT&T’s and T-Mobile decent service will become much, much better. d) You buy a 4G phone for the faster speeds, yes. And you have 5GB/2GB of 4G speeds a month. Honestly, I stream music and videos several hours a day, I’m on Facebook at least 15-20 times a day, I download apps every other day minimum, I have constant background data running, I have 3 e-mails continuously synced thruout the day, I’m signed on AIM, MSN, Skype and Gtalk, the entire day…and I still rarely pass 2GB…I’ve passed it once, when I hit 3. If you’re literally using more than 5GB, you’re either downloading full movies (which honestly, shouldn’t be done on a cell phone. As good as Mobile internet is, it’s still not a replacement for home internet), or tethering.

        • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_6BZWRJOKVCUIZWHMEWABAUBLHQ gfam

You should be real happy with the plans that AT&T will offer you post merger then, lol!

        • http://ashn.myopenid.com/ Ash

I hope T-mo will do first 5GB @ 4G speed, when you hit this soft cap, then drop users to 3G speed. (Till end of billing cycle)
Not this 2G”GPRS! not even EDGE” crap….
          Wouldn’t that be more….2011….

Don’t be like 2001, T-mo…and don’t be like the other carriers.

  • http://twitter.com/TeXanMike Michael Shaw

Bah we need a fam option. Oh well ill stick with my even more plus unlim 139.99 plan for now.

  • Missperfect

I just switched to the 1500 Whenever Minute promo on one of my lines and had to agree to a 2 year extension… I’m going to call to reverse it and switch to this plan….

I get all my phones for free from work anyways so this plan would be perfect.

    • remister

Can I work with your company please!?

    • Savingjessie

It can only be reversed within the first 14 day “Buyers Remorse” period. Hope you aren’t past that.

      • Msladye

Buyer’s Remorse is only for upgrades not rate plans

    • Anonymous

You don’t need to call in to reverse it. Even if you took the 1500TTW promotion on April 12th, you can go on April 13th and take the new promotion for a 1 day contract extension lol.

  • Kris

too*… “It wasn’t to long ago”. Fail Managing Editor!

    • nero

The fired the editing manager because of the coming ATT merger and tools like you who do it pro bono! ::troll face::

      • nero

        they* self owned

        • Kris

I apologize that “nero” believes my comment, was an attempt at being a troll. I simply pointed out a grammatical error to the editing manager. A pretty simple error as a matter of fact. I notice a lot of these mistakes, and it is not only limited to this site… but many “tech” sites. And “nero” you already owned yourself… so I don’t need to say anymore.

But I do have a question, which might be simple… but I read yesterday the plan would be 79.99 for unlimited everything (minus the 2gb data throttling), and now 59.99. SO is the plan 59.99 unlimited everything (with data throttle) or is it 59.99 talk/text plus 20.00 data, totaling 79.99?

        • MtnDew

79.99 is Even More (contract plan) / 59.99 is Even More Plus (without contract)

        • Kris

Hmm… that sucks, because I do have a contract… but I paid full price for my G2. Only reason I have kept my original plan was because I had the myfaves… three years ago with my sidekick, but then switched to the iPhone (on edge) which I paid for on ebay and then this phone now.

Not sure what to do, I just hope T-Mobile stays T-Mobile… been loyal for three years and would hope for many more years!!

      • http://tmonews.com David

I agree with what you are saying but I can’t fire myself!

  • http://twitter.com/GinUwiNLady Moira Washington

    omg! so worth it!

  • http://cosmicbreeze.tumblr.com/ DtheArtist

    YESSSS, I WANT IT!

  • Chatter

This really is a good deal for people (like me) that do not use lots of data. I basically operate off wifi and I assume some of us will jump on this deal – as long as we read this blog!

  • http://www.volkswagen.de Quailallstar

Oh wow… that is cheap! 60.00 bucks for unlimited everything. Sounds like the same deal SimpleMobile gives you, sans contract of course. :)

    Hmmmmm

  • http://twitter.com/LukeAtomic Luke Atomic

How much do they throttle post-2 gb?

    • http://ashn.myopenid.com/ Ash

      GPRS speed.
      You will not be happy.

      • Anonymous

not even EDGE are you serious?

        • http://ashn.myopenid.com/ Ash

Ask around here t-mo news, many others have stated the same.
          Sad but true.

  • Tyler

I just switched back to Even More Plus 500 so this is definitely an option for me. I don’t care about the 2Gb data cap since I have a EDGE capable BB 8900 lol. My question is would my total cost be $59.99/mo or would it be more since I have a BB?

    • http://www.volkswagen.de Quailallstar

Add $5.00 if you are on a BIS plan (Blackberry). Take a look at the screen shot for that info under the TOTAL MRC column.

      • Tyler

Ugh so because I have a Blackberry I’d have to pay $59.99 + $5? That makes sense?! ):

        • http://www.volkswagen.de Quailallstar

Yeah it sucks. I was a Crackberry user for the longest time and their plans always had an added-on price :/ when compared to other “Smartphones” This goes for most carriers. Poop if you ask me….

        • Tyler

Thanks but I have the Even More Plus 500 plan right now and its only $59.99, there is no BIS fee of $5. Maybe its just for this plan? Once its launched, I will call T-Mobile to acquire about it and perhaps they’ll waive the $5 since I’ve been with them forever lol.

        • MtnDew

All plans have a BIS fee of $5 if you use BIS…

        • MtnDew

Wow you got me typing it wrong too… the fee is the bEs fee, only for people who need best access. (Not you)

        • MtnDew

Stupid auto correct… bEs access… took me three times to get it right… BIS is consumer internet and is included in the internet price on all plans, ie you never pay extra for having a blackberry unless: you need BES, which you don’t need unless your job forces it upon you.

        • Tyler

Then why does it say BIS in the picture?

        • MtnDew

It says BIS/BES meaning BIS AND BES & BES only meaning ONLY BES…

        • Anonymous

          my head is spinning.

        • Tyler

I just use the regular BB plan not the BES!!!

        • MtnDew

Then no extra $5 for you! :-)

  • http://www.volkswagen.de Quailallstar

Just checked how much data I’ve been consuming on an average and the grand total this cycle is…… (drum roll) 474.6598 MB LMAO :) Not even 0.5gig of data.

I use WiFi a lot more than the network 3G data and this 2gig cap works for me. Yes it might not be the right fit for some users, but it might be the right fit for others.

  • Jay1985

I use the he’ll outta my BB and never come close to 1gb, let alone 2. What I want to know is what about those of us on the loyalty plan? I feel what was a great deal is now really expensive compared to the new promos!

    • Msladye

So maybe u should change ur plan?!?!?

  • http://www.facebook.com/wmatatan Wally Maldonado

This is a good deal considering Simple Mobile charges $50 for their service, but with T-Mo, you get the piece of mind of truly unlimited data, out of market roaming, and no 1 gig soft cap, and other small features like 3-way and call waiting. And last but not least, T-Mobile’s incredible customer service. The extra $10 bucks are well worth it.

    • http://www.volkswagen.de Quailallstar

SimpleMobile is unlimited text, data and talk for 60.00 including taxes and fees. I think their 50.00 plan is just unlimited talk and text.

      • http://www.facebook.com/wmatatan Wally Maldonado

oops, my bad… you’re right. so basically T-Mo is competing with its MVNO with this promo.

        • http://twitter.com/Skrill_Dilly Skrill-Dilly

Simple Mobile IS T-Mobile guys..fyi ..They buy bulk amounts of minutes and redistribute the service discounted..Like Family Mobile/Walmart Mobile…Or better example..Helio used Sprints towers and service.

  • http://profiles.google.com/clintonrh Clinton Hamilton

Needs a EM+ $110 family plan option with shared 4+ GB cap to be appealing to me.

I used 1.5 GB this month. I’ve used 3+ in the past. Girlfriend averages about 600 mb.

Currently paying $95 ($110 after taxes and fees) for 1500 min shared, no text (google voice ftw), a $10 legacy data plan for me, and a full price $25 data plan for her).

I’ve hit my minute cap for the month now with three days left on my billing cycle thanks to overly long work calls (used to get by with 300 minutes just fine). I need a larger option but can’t afford to pay the increase to go to the unlimited plan since I’d also lose my legacy data plan.

  • HeLLkAt31

I have the EMP Plan and I just got a txt from Tmobile that my data will slow down bcuz I passed my 5gigs of data till my next billing cycle. My next billing cycle starts tomorrow and I wouldn’t last with 2 gigs, HeLL No!

  • Cubanito151

Does anyone think T-Mobile lets me switch one of the lines in a family plan to this and take the other line off? I think I’m going to ask because its a good deal I don’t use near 1gig of data LOL.

  • Alvin B.

Only question *I* have is, I’m on contracted EM+ for 2 years (yeah I too thought all EM+ was no contract but… got cut a deal on the phone).. contract started 6 months ago. Would I be eligible to switch to the new plan?

    • Grover

So you’re on Even More, not Even More PLUS. You have a contract… the plans in this posting are no contract. You’ll get the same plan for $79.99.

      • Scwrath88

Yes its likely you can still switch. it is def not standard procedure to put someone on em* with contract but very possible to do so pertaining to the circumstances.

        • Alvin B.

Positive I’m on EM+ contract with flexpay. I used to work for T-Mobile, I was shocked when they offerred that plan to me. I thought I’d have to pay full price for the phone due to EM+ and flexpay, but they put me on a contract and knocked off $200 and I pay the rest out. I have the $59.99 EM+ with 500 mins, unl text & data currently.

I rarely use more than 500mb/month, mostly because 3G is pretty slow in my area, so I seek out wifi at all times.

    • Dalton

You mean you’re Even More? Because EM+ is contract-free. So… no you won’t be able to switch because this is for monthly plan customers, not contract customers.

      • Alvin B.

No, I mean EM+. Yes, I know it is not normal to have a contract on EM+. I worked at TMO when EM+ was rolled out and we were told absolutely no contracts, you even had to break a contract to go to EM+. Nevertheless, when I signed up for my current account this past fall, I was offered a discounted phone, with the EM+ payment plan, on flexpay, with a 2 year contract. Dunno how or why, but I wasn’t going to turn down the discount on an EM+ plan when I thought I was going to have to pay out the full price.

Of course, this odd setup of my account may in the END prevent me from changing plans on its own if customer service doesn’t understand/approve of what the sales reps did to get me into a phone!

  • Dbell9

Is there a pricing discount for even more plus family plans ($139.99)? Or should I just get two $59.99 plans and save $19

  • http://twitter.com/DrBaconator Dr.Prof.Baconator

Yes!! I will switch to that unlimited data plan from my $79.99 unlimited even more plus on April 13! Ya Save money! I think that on every unlimited plan they throttle after 2GB (which I don’t even use).

  • http://twitter.com/brianLbloom Brian Bloom

Everyone is balking at the 2GB “cap” (which just slows things down). I just reviewed my Blackberry traffic for the past 5 months. The highest month going back to halloween of last year was only 76MB. Which means at current rates, it would take me over 2 years to hit 2GB. I think I can pretty safely stay under that “cap” in a month, or worst case, it would slow me down to the same damn slow speeds this old Blackberry curve already runs at anyway.

So I’m looking forward to a new phone in a week and all the raging fast bandwidth that comes with it. :)

    • zps

don’t judge your usage based on a curve. you will use significantly more on an android device.

    • http://rpad.tv RPad.tv

BlackBerry Internet Service compresses data very aggressively. That’s a poor measuring stick if you plan on moving to another mobile OS.

  • MattMJB0188

This new EM+ plan might not be good for those on 4G devices. Those on Blackberries will greatly benefit from this plan. I will be switching next week once its available. I only used about 100MB last month on my Blackberry.

  • TMoFan

T-Mobile always tries to do innovative things with their plans.

I come nowhere close to 2GB so it’s a good deal for those of us who aren’t heavy data users.

  • Alec

Quietly launched April 13th. Excuse me? its only the 5th of April. Do you mean will be launched ?

    • DatNizzle

Nope. It’s fine the way it is.

  • http://twitter.com/Skrill_Dilly Skrill-Dilly

Damn…Wi-Fi tethering my Xoom trying to show my ass off in public has me at 1,070.6MB a.k.a. 1.0455078124GB of data and my plan doesnt flip until the 23rd…I dont think that’ll work for me…im on EM+ and i think i”ll stick with the 5GB cap..lol its like Linus’s blanket on Peanuts..I just need the warmth..HA

  • Anonymous

Im assuming if we have the current EM+ 500 min unltd text unltd data(5gb throttle point) for $59.99 that we can keep it, and not be forced to the NEW $59.99 option. Does that sound correct/promising?

  • http://profiles.google.com/jnmunsey John Munsey

So data speeds will be reduced to what speed ?

    • Ddukatz

My guess would be 2G (hopefully not)

It says “$0 2G Unlimited Data” after “Date Feature:” in the screen shot

    • HeLLkAt31

I passed my 5 gigs before my billing cycle on my Even More Plus Plan that has unlimited every thing for 79 a month and let me tell u that u will get reduced to edge speeds but it will feel like a slow crawling dialup connection…

      • Jutecat

dannnnnggg what are you doing to get over 5 gigs? i have yet to hit that and thats even with tethering to my laptop!

        • http://twitter.com/BruceCLin Bruce Lin

Not sure about him, but I got pass 5GB once. I was away and check my security feeds of my house. I’d say this is a legit use as opposite to torrenting on 3G and stuff.

        • HeLLkAt31

f@kn porn streaming kills ur data… =| jk :) I watch all these reviews on phones on youtube n tv, thats wats killing me but I guess I’m ahead of my time when phones are trully replacing laptops and tablets… =/

    • Anonymous

You get reduced to 0.05Mbps….trust me it sucks. Things like email/twitter still work, but you can forget about watching any video or surfing the web at reasonable speeds.

  • Anonymous

The data speed reduction is complete buzzkill. People don’t buy a sportscar if the dealership tells them they are only allowed to drive over 55MPH for the first week of every month.

    http://www.transdgtl.com

    • woother

But this is not a sports car, it’s a phone. Big difference.

  • Anonymous

So if I have the Even More Plus plan from August of last year, do I still get true unlimited? Or does my plan automatically change to 2GB? Cause I know I’m paying more that 59 for it.

    • Anonymous

As with all plans, nothing will change unless you change it. So you will still have “unlimited” not 2G.

  • Bman325i

Thats it?! wtf this is the big news that my district was talking about. some bull they got going on. LMAO. big woop

This is ACTUALLY a better deal than what MetroPOS or CricKet offers and with way more phones to choose from.

    Question…

Even More Plus Unlimited Plan, is this a non contract plan? The Even Plus, to my knowledge is contractual while the Even More Plus plans are non contract.

    • Anonymous

Yes, EMP are no contract. I love it…

    • Anonymous

      Yes, correct (mostly).
Even More = contract, post paid
Even More Plus = No contract, post paid

      • http://www.volkswagen.de Quailallstar

:( I’m still under contract with MyFaves 300, Android web and 300 txt… Would T-Mobile let me upgrade to a non contract plan? If yes, than I see ETF fees in my future…lol :/

There goes getting a LG 2X…..

        • Jutecat

yes because you have a grandfathered plan. the only thing that happens in an upgrade is signing another of the same contract (if you so choose) for another two years.

        • Jutecat

ah i misread what you wrote! but eitherway ya they would, but i wouldn’t if i were you. you would lose your sweet two year discount

        • http://www.volkswagen.de Quailallstar

You bring up a good point. I need to crunch the #’s to see how much I would really be saving if I were to switch over.

As it stands, I have a -15% off corp discount that is applied to my bill (pre-taxes) monthly.

    • Anonymous

Unless I’m missing something… I have an Even More PLUS brochure in front of me and the Current Unlimited everything is here for the 79.99. I have always known the PLUS in Even more Plus to denote the No-Contract, post-paid option. The Even More Plans are the standard contract options. I have never heard of “Even Plus.” That’s all I know.

      • http://www.volkswagen.de Quailallstar

        “Even Plus.”

That was a typo on my part..

  • Anonymous
  • DatNizzle

For people complaining about “unlimited”: According to you guys’ definition, no one has unlimited data. Even HSPA+ customers’ speed has limits, right now it’s 42mbs.
For you to say unlimited data refers to the speed of that data, makes no since. There is no way for you to get “unlimited” speed.

    • Matty43

the amount you can download moron not downloading speeds. can you make “sense” of that?

    • gsfdg

what in the hell is this

  • blazem25

I am a brand new tmobile customer and I have the my touch so far I am impressed with tmobile. came from sprint was their 7 years. I got the unlimted even more plus for $79.99. will I be able to switch to this $59.99 plan? I dont use a ton of data but use ton of minutes I used 1800 when ever minutes 140mb of data. I always wifi when I am at home does that show as data? Thanks

    • Anonymous

If your in the grace period which is what, 20 days or something(I don’t know) then you can still change your plan once this drops.

      • TMOrep1

Wrong, you can still change your plan even after the buyer’s remorse period. As long as you are already on Even More Plus and change to another EMP plan there is no fee to change plans.

    • anony

it would be a great switch for you if you dont ever use that much data..that way you can call anywhere at anytime and get rid of your house phone if you have one.. also it will save you 20.00 dollars a month

  • Mac

whatttt, thats the same price as my Even More Plus 500 plan.. but does mine have a 2GB cap before its throttled? if not i’m deff switching

    • Mac

      if it does*

  • http://www.google.com/profiles/106604499311233966897 bluechris

Sweet – i’ll have to check out the new rates. Is anything changing for family plans?

  • Jsun Bailey

Okay, so here’s my scenario, input is appreciated: I’m currently on the $59.99 500EMP plan, in the area I’m in I only get Edge signal, so if I switched over to this new plan would my speed be lower than edge? (and trust me using 2GB or 5GB on an edge network is not likely in my opinion)

    • yasuya

no it wouldnt reduce your speed since youre already only at edge speeds. if you were in a 3g area, and used more than 2 gb of data, they would reduce the speed at which you can access data since as you said in your scenario, that isnt going to happen, if i were you, i’d make the switch.

  • Guest

Do we get 5GB of data before being throttled now with our EM+ unlimited plan? I’m trying to see if this is worth the switch.

  • Anonymous

I’ll keep my plan I don’t talk that much and I get 5th of data before they throttle me.

  • Nate24

THAT IS A STEAL!. The unlimited minutes makes it totally worth it IMHO, i’m now paying $59 for 500m and only use <200 MB per month. 2GB is more than I need per month. I use wifi at home and work and have broadband (50 Mbps) at home so I will definitely switch!!

    • Maschwar77

Yeah, it is a steal! I really only use my android phone for email and the occasional navigation stuff. So they throttle the speed somewhat after 2GB, who cares? Still great and the 59.99 price point makes it highly competitive with prepaid offerings from Virgin Mobile.

Common wtf? That 2gb cap is proof that att already has there hand in the pot.I stream mlbtv on my nexus s most evenings because I am of home. I listen to lots of tune in radio, pandora, etc.. how the hell is 2gb going to ever be enough for someone who is using there phone what it really is intended for these days. Yes the unlimited minutes is nice, but I have no problems telling people I will call you after 9 or text me.

Um, YOU are the reason that unlimited data is going away! Seriously… using the cell network to watch baseball games? I think it only takes like a dozen video watchers to tie up a whole tower.

I use the web, email, and other data apps a lot, and rarely exceed 200mb.

what modern mobile phones really need is a digital tv-tuning card. that way we can still access broadcast video without using extra bandwidth. a lot of my data usage is hulu via tether (or the hacked version of flash player) If i could watch stuff live on my phone or better yet record it to the sd card and watch it later (yes basically i want my phone to be tivo) it would reduce data usage and add a level of awesome to the phone.

hey its better than getting charged for overage? ie AT&T. Use your old plan if you want truely unlimited.

Ooh…Tmo is making it difficult for me to leave them now especially when i decided i want the xperia play :(
Eh, i think of the customer service issues and i still want my play lol

I already said I think this plan is perfect for Blackberry users but I feel everyones pain with the 2GB. They might as well not even market it as ‘unlimited’. I think this is the biggest smack in the face to the consumer. What does this 2GB even serve?

Here is a simple solution for those people that 2GB of data isn’t enough, don’t get the plan. Stop complaining about the plans, you act like data doesn’t cost T-Mobile anything. 2GB is plenty of data for most people and $80 is insanely low for unlimited everything. The plans that T-Mobile already offers with 5GB limit are still way cheaper than other competitors. So in the end get it or don’t but either way stop crying about it,T-Mobile still offers the best plans around.
