(Updated With Video!!) T-Mobile Unveils LG Tablet With 4G!

Not to long ago we had a post that offered up a hint as to future T-Mobile products based on trademark names filed at T-Mobile’s request. Well the answer to at least one of them is here, the G-Slate Tablet is very real and very much coming to T-Mobile. Our guess, it’s the rumored LG Tablet we’ve been hearing whispers about.  Though we digress, it’s possible the Dell Streak 7 was given this name.

The Motorola Xoom has an aluminum unibody design.. Is the LG plastic or aluminum?

Android 3.0 sorta reminds me of Nokia Maemo… Interesting.

      Isn’t maemo linux based?

      • Anonymous

No. Maemo IS linux. It is the linux core with a Nokia Maemo UI.

        • Wilma Flintstone

Actually no, Maemo IS Linux Based like Android. Meego IS the Complete Linux fused with Intel’s Moblin and Nokia’s Maemo Platforms.

This is the same ad Motorola played when they introduced the xoom.

I would rather Tmo, verizon, att, and sprint all release the same thing just with different hardware. The LAST thing we need is more android Fragmentation in the tablet market. I know it will come, but lets hope its not for some time. I have no problem with tmo releasing the same video Motorola did (obviously made by google then branded by the next in line) just as long as they keep it stock android (which is now SUPER SEXXXY) im good with it.

Congratulations again David on your CES invite. And GREAT coverage. You are probably the best coverage on the Net so far.

While others have stuff, you are getting the goods on T-Mobile, which is the whole point of this site, isn’t it.

I told you that CES would be the year of the tablets. Some superphones will debut, but manufacturers and carriers cannot whip out their tablet offerings fast enough.

This is a great tablet and that it has Honeycomb (about three months ago rumored to debut at CES) is a surprise, that T-Mobile is getting it.

4G, Android Honeycomb, wow, take that T-Mobile dissers. And the rest of the specs are also awesome. Take that iPad.

I did not think there was anything that would cause me to rethink getting the Lenovo hybrid that I desperately want — called the Le Pad– but this since it’s from T-Mobile, hmm…. will have to debate that in my mind now.

Update: The Le Pad’s just announced price point — $1300 — might send me to T-Mobile’s device. Plus it’s not coming to the U. S. until later in the year.

how’s that novel you’ve been working on? You know…. your novel. Yes, the novel in which you police everyone’s grammar. Been working on that a while now, huh? What’s it been 3….4 years? must be quite the yarn you’re spinning there, yes. Must have quite the storyline going. Maybe an antagonist or two…. I’m sure the grammar is perfect too. and I bet there’s some twists and turns throughout the plot. keep the reader guessing, hmmm? I am guessing you use some interesting metaphors and alliteration throughout the entirety of the plot line. I am sure you’ve thrown in some things to keep us all on our toes, yes? Perhaps a twisty turny roller-coaster ride of a story all leading up to a massively climactic ending that will leave the reader begging for a sequel? yeah I am sure it will turn out fine.

I have a 4.3″ android phone – it is my hd2, running cyan 6.1 on it. And in my area (detroit), it its faster than any of the evo’s that I have tested against.

Wow, that’s all I can say. Looks pretty good. I wonder how big it will be. I love the size of the Tab, easy to fit in the pocket and just a big enough screen to appreciate. I’ll sell my Tab if I get wind of some great specs for this device
