Samsung Vibrant Free On T-Mobile.com

If there was ever a time to push the Samsung Vibrant, now would be that time!  Given that, T-Mobile.com currently has the Samsung Vibrant on sale for the low low price of free!

I’ve also heard a little whisper that the Samsung Vibrant is free for existing customers through loyalty if you are fully qualified for the upgrade right now!  No confirmation on that though!

Im going to have check on the MT4G rumor, how do you get to loyalty without having to say cancel?

    • Matt

I used “Contract” at the prompt when I upgraded a couple of weeks ago.

      • jadambrown

        “retention” works too.

        • Mazenh007

What’s customer loyalty? Where you get to it? Retention, contract…where I find these. Thanks

        • Vinnbell

I called on Saturday and mentioned your deal but only got laughed at. The guy was telling me $149 is the lowest he can go.

    I’m only 6 months into my contract and it’s showing me vibrant for $0, g2 for $99, mt4g for $99, mt3gs for $49

I am 11 months into one of my contracts (3 lines) and I am not eligible for any discounts it seems. I tried calling Loyalty multiple times with no luck.

      • claysu

Beware, it shows those prices and I got them too but you may not get the Rebate, just know that. I’m still waiting to see if I get the rebate or not because it says you must be fully upgradeable.

I submitted my rebate and I wasn’t full eligible so we’ll see what happens. Worst case it’s $50 for a nice phone.

I think it is a glitch with the website. It showed those prices and my wife is only 1 month in to her G2. I went to buy the vibrant and got to the last step, pressed BACK to make some changes and BOOM!!! The Vibrant is $499!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you get the prices, don’t try to order UNLESS you are ordering right then! We don’t need any new phones but I would have bought it just because…..and resell it unopened…..

Too bad for me…I hope this helps someone else get a good deal and not lose it…

  • Matt

I know lots of people are still irritated with Samsung – but I upgraded recently for both myself and my wife. BOTH of our phones work pretty well, all considering. We have slow(er) GPS locks, but Froyo helped that.

Additionally, I was expecting the upgrade process for my wife’s phone to be a nightmare – I backed EVERYTHING up…SMS, MMS, ect. The Kies Mini upgrade went off without a hitch the first time and even saved her apps, data, and texts. Overall, I think the Vibrant is still a good phone.

I’ve now played with the Droid Incredible, Droid X, and Droid 2 on Verizon in depth and the Vibrant looks better and is faster, hands down. The AMOLED screen beats regular LCD’s – so much so that I can’t even think about switching to anything else right now.

Anything thinking about jumping to the Vibrant – don’t let the whiners get you down. I’ve got 2 phones that work just fine. They’re fast and still relevant technology wise. Our battery life has been great (1day +) with moderate usage. With the upcoming source to be released, there should be a Gingerbread released quickly if you must have the newest OS the day it’s released.

You are so correct! The 2.2 upgrade makes a huge impact. Sadly, Samsung dropped the ball on update support and seemed to be doing their best ruin a good thing. The Galaxy S was and still is a strong seller, but it could have been “that much more” if they would have just provided proper update/upgrade support from the beginning. As it is, the phone is still slightly ahead of it time and will be until dual core phones flood the market. To each his own, but comparatively every single person in my social circle with iPhone’s, Droid X’s, and EVO 4G’s envy our Vibrants. The Vibrant does not have every single little feature out there (e.g LED flash, kickstand, front-facing camera), but overall with 2.2 Froyo, it is an outstanding hard-to-beat package!

I was able to upgrade both my wife’s phone and mine for free online and we hadn’t even hit 12 months in our contracts from getting MyTouch 3G’s last year.

The vibrant is a wonderful phone. Calls are clear , screen is simply beautiful ( like having a small hdtv ), android market offer a lot of apps and various options to customize the look , and if your a techie and love trying out different software there tons of great forums to be found for the vibrant. If your in the market for a smart phone this is the one!!

  • Jaynrb

showing free for me … wow…

  • tmofan2006

this means newer phones are coming people think about it.they are trying to empty their inventory to make room for the newer devices.

Im not sure but on mine (about 6 months in a new contract) it says that for like a mytouch 4g it would be a certain price, but there are payments you have to pay after which will make it 199 all together after payments. The only thing i see here is that the vibrant is free with no extra strings and every other phone is the showing that you need to pay the price listed on the advertisement and the is the price for new customers , while you pay what the new customer pays and more but look on the bright side you dnt have to pay like full retail which is like over 500 bux

I can confirm that the Vibrant is free through loyalty. If you go online, you pay 49.99, then submit a $50.00 rebate. Loyalty will just make it free. (Then you can still submit the rebate and get the $50.00.)

If im 6 months in a 2 yr contract and get this phone does that mean I dont qualify for another upgrade in 3.5 years?

    • h0serdude

I _just_ upgraded my phone this month and it says I can get another V

No, it just extends your contract by 2 years from the day you order the phone. It isn’t cumulative.

they had that going in early January 2011 then changed it. It changes periodically

  • Auser72

paid $79, that was with upgrade fee, taxes, and shipping. Will get $50 rebate. So out of pocket cost of thirty dollars for vibrant, a steal. And was only a month into two year contact after purchase of mytouch 4g last month. wow

    • claysu

Are you sure that you are getting the rebate? Did you ask?

      • Auser72

@Claysu, I didnt ask but hadnt had any problems getting rebates on early upgrades in the past. And at $79.00 if they dont i will still have no complaints.I can get atleast $350 for brand new Vibrant on Ebay.

“Best” they can do on a MT4g right with an early upgrade is $199 with contract renewal according to the CS rep I talked too… :( Wah waaaaaah.

Wow, My T-Mobile tells me that a different story. Yesterday it showed me way lower prices, and today they are all high. The Samsung Vibrant for me is $255. either way, i would not get a samsung, have had bad experiences with them. should have taken advantage of the free G2, but I am waiting for the LG Optimus 2x. People have to take advantage of free phone though, they are FREE.

  • Sam619guy

After the problems I had with the Vibrant, i wouldn’t take a free one. I picked up a Mytouch4G yesterday, and it’s a much heavier, more substantial feeling phone. A camera with a FLASH is a big plus, and I don’t even mind the slightly smaller screen than the Vibrant. I sold my Vibrant for $250 (with a cracked screen even), good riddance

    • Nate0777

naaa mines showing its still up

    • oman222

I see it on the site free but when I sign in it goes back to regular price

      • Aolaleye23

when i sign in and review order, it says the price is 80 so my guess would be either your not eligible for a full upgrade, or you dont have the loyalty option

        • oman222

How do you qualify for the loyalty plan. I was online and the phone showed up free and was about to pay but had to go back to work. When I went back in it showed full price. I shouldve got it when I had the chance :(

  • Mr Decker

I ordered a Vibrant this morning, and it completed just fine. The phone itself was $50 plus the upgrade fees, tax, etc. I ended up getting the phone for less than $80 shipped, and I just bought a Cliq XT (for free) last May. I don’t expect to get the rebate, but I’ll either upgrade the Vibrant to T-Mobile’s Froyo or root and install a custom Froyo ROM (probably the latter). My credit card shows a pending charge for the Vibrant, so I expect it will go through.

  • Gandalf

We have 1 Vibrant(running Nero) and 2 G1s (CM 5) with upgrade eligibility, so happy to update G1s to Vibrant. I really wanted to wait for LG 2X dual core, but do not want to wait till April or whenever it finally gets to TMobile given this deal. After all, 3 months after LX 2X Samsung will update its Galaxy S2 to even better screen/CPU/GPU, and then 3 months after maybe Tegra 3 will arrive, so better to take a good deal now.
Calling retention allowed us to keep old $25 data+400 texts plan (not using texts using GV) but helpful retention CSR lowered our bill by $10 by reducing our family voice minutes from 700 to 600 min (we do not use more than 100 anyway, who is calling when you can gtalk/text/email…)

  • DH

if you’re even thinking about getting this phone, or any other samsung phone for that matter, don’t do it!!!

  • GeorgioRay

I called Tmobile and spoke to Loyalty and confimed that the Vibrant is free along with another nice surprise, the My Touch 4g also free!!!! with 2 year service agreement.

    • http://anne.mangopapaya.net anne

Thanks for the heads up! I’ve been waiting to upgrade my (original) myTouch 3G for awhile now, and I wouldn’t mind a new MT4G :)

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_6BZWRJOKVCUIZWHMEWABAUBLHQ gfam

This why we love T-Mobile, because no other wireless carrier does what they do, PERIOD. If you live in an area with excellent coverage like we do, there is no better provider. Customer loyalty and retention programs are 5 stars above Verizon, AT&T and Sprint. Haters are welcome to say what they wish, but when they compare the speed/functionality of our phones and our monthly bill, we come out far ahead each time! Our family and friends on Verizon, AT&T and Sprint wish they had grandfathered plans such as we do, lol!
