Dell Sending Bluetooth Headsets To Early Adopters, Hopefully They Don’t Arrive Before Your Phone

While you patiently sit by the door waiting for the UPS/FedEX man to deliver you’re your Dell Venue Pro sometime early next year, Dell has a present for you. This present, in the form of the Plantronics Explorer 240 Bluetooth Headset is a “thank you” for your patience with Dell on this matter. Looks like the headset retails for around $22.75 on Amazon.com as of this writing, is that enough to make up for the debacle that has become the Dell Venue Pro launch? We want to know so let us know in the comments!

they didn’t really have to regardless, so i’d say it’s a good gesture on Dell’s part. which brings me to my next point: since Dell decided to go ahead anyway to appease customers by giving them this free plantronics headset, it’s not good enough. they could do a little more to show their sincerity. $22.75 is just a drop in the bucket for anyone. not to say that Dell should be stupid enough to put themselves in the “hole” financially by going all out. they still should do a little more, then eat the cost or somehow spread it to other part of the company.

The revenue lost from current and futures sales could probably be recouped by offering a real discount on the phone or just lowering the price by atleast $25. They gotta do somethin more significant than a damn BT to move that B!@#h now.

A hush Bluetooth huh? I guess if I ordered one and it came within 3 weeks late then a BT might be understandable. Holding my what, $450 for a month should yield a little cash interest though.

Sweet…. A headset that works better than the POS phone, lol

Pointless. A handsfree kit for your cat would be better, or stereo blu-tooth headset at least. Single ear blu-tooth devices are only for people who want to seem important.

Anyone know of another Win7 phone coming out soon on Tmo? The screen on the HD7 looks very poor and the fact the both the HD7 and Venue Pro are not HSPA+ makes me think these two Win7 phones will become useless POS’s even quicker than most phone do. I would rather have the MyTouch 4G due to the faster network speeds but I am not a huge fan of Android.

    • Troll + Zombie = Trombie

“useless POS” is an exaggeration. If that were the case, then everyone’s current handsets who didn’t have a G2 or MT4G would be ‘useless’. Some markets still don’t even have ’4g’… think it will be at least a year or so before you start seeing some real traffic on HSPA+

About the HD7… I went to check one out at at Tmo store… except the store I went to is run by idiots, who A> Have the phones locked DOWN, like, you can touch the screen, but you can’t hold the phone and B> Locked UP is what I should say because the working models (not the dummies) are ABOVE the customer on a wall, not below where you can check them out and C> Crappy lighing caused a glare and every single handset I tried

What a cruddy Tmo store that was.
