The math’s pretty easy – If the phone full retail was worth over 255 for
a web phone, or 245 for a non-web phone, one would gain a benefit from
your proposal. However, there are not many people willing or able to
front 420 over the course of 30 days for two phones, and also have
another individual willing to start a new account under their name (You
could probably get away with putting it under a new name, but there’s
probably a clause about canceling and starting new lines on the same day
under the same name). Even so, Tmo’s only short 195 from the
switcheroo on EM+ (assuming you use it on something expensive like the
HD2)… and they’re getting shorted 200 from the free HD2 on contract,
so the only thing they lose out with on the deal is the lack of contract
– Wonder if they’ll let it slide, or there will be a stipulation placed
on the offer on deactivation, if this is the offer.

Iv been selling in the wireless industry for 6 years and never stood behind a product like I do the iPhone. Yes, AT&T is over priced and over rated but the phone is amazing. Let’s look big picture guys

I don’t get it? What are you complaining about.. You can get the Nexus now for 179 w 2yr plan @ $80 month, which is only available on an individual plan. Why do you have to wait for it to be in the store?

I am a T-Mobile rep, and anyone who says they know what is happening probably doesn’t. My manager said she has no clue, but another manager said it was not the hard release of the MyTouch Slide, but something bigger that “I would want to work more hours for.”

We are commissioned on top of hourly, so we want to be able to sell, but no rep is in the know unless they know some form of middle or upper management personally. I honestly don’t know what it is, and I have asked my manager. We all thought it was the hard release of the MyTouch slide or the buy one get one, but the buy one get one was started back up about a week ago, so that’s not it.

Here’s what I will say…
*Sunday 06/14 we were trained on the MyTouch Slide, $5 add a line and the benefit of family plans. Which would make you think that the free any phones (while they last) but only on a family plan makes the most sense
*We have a plethora of MyTouch Slides and we’re expected to sell at least 20% of our phones as MyTouch Slides for the month of June, and that’s with it not being advertised until the “official” release which is Wednesday, June 16th
*If you want a hot phone, get the Garminfone. I’ll tell you this, I played with it for only a little while, but I really want this. It does not require 3G for GPS but rather, uses the Garmin satellites and works every bit as well as a GPS and the phone software makes it amazing.
*All T-Mobile stores are opening at 8 AM, so when you find out about the deal, get there by 8 to get the phone you want…As long as it’s still available. My guess is we’ll be out of HD2′s by noon and out of Garminfone’s early, too (our store still hasn’t even gotten one shipment of them) but considering roughly 30-40% of our stock is currently MyTouch Slide’s, those may be available for a bit longer…Although it is our phone of hte summer and the expected sales is supposed to be through the roof.

Either way, something MAJOR is going through as the “forecast” calls for very heavy traffic, and a buy one get one doesn’t make sense…But an “any phone free” makes perfect sense w/a family plan based on what we were trained on and this “leaked” info all over the internet.

Again, I’m not confirming or denying anything as I have no solid evidence on anything, but I will say exactly what is out there.
