T-Mobile Outage In The Southeast?

Word coming through Twitter, Emails, T-Mobile’s own forums as well as Engadget report that service in the Southeast has been disrupted throughout the morning. According to the official T-mobile forums, the areas of Atlanta, Carolina, Miami, Orlando and Tampa, Florida are affected. As of this writing T-Mobile has not yet updated to say service is restored so let us know if you having trouble in the comments below.

      Yeah and I’m also not sure if it was completely restored. I keep getting messages on my HD2 that says Connection Error. I was up texting at 2:00am (I’m a Night Owl) and all of a sudden, I lost all connection including phone service. The only way I knew it was restored was because my cousin sent me a text and it came through. It was out from 2:00am to around 9:30am

    I’m in Tampa and everything works for me, data, voice, sms, etc. I’m using a G1.

    Service was interrupted for me. I am in Miami,Fl. I am going to call and complain to see what kind of credit I get on my acct.

      “I am going to call and complain” Are you serious, at what point did tmobile promise you service 24/7 365? So basically what your saying is, if your cable went out you would want a credit. I am willing to guess that you dont do that because its not the cable companies fault. In turn it is not tmobiles fault you service does not work shit breaks deal with it

    Texting was down this morning in Central Florida, around 7 or 8am. Voice and Data worked fine. And all seems to be normal now. :-)

    I lost service just after 3 this morning. It was restored around 10:15 am in my part of Atlanta.

    my service sucks so bad here in (horry county, sc) i don’t think i’d notice if it was out or not.

    It’s back to normal mostly for Atlanta. It was purely tower related. I didn’t realize there was a problem until I left home and off of wifi/UMA on my Bold 9700. @Home service was unaffected unlike recent outages.

    In Orlando and I am yet to see any outage in service…ever! data and voice have been flawless…pretty much everything has been flawless and am yet to see any thing not work on my device.

    I live in atlanta and only like half of my outgoing texts would actually be received, but seems to be fixed now. T-Mobile is offering 100 bonus minutes :-)

    Voice and data was out for me this morning (Atlanta, GA). Voice came back online around 9 am ish, and data came back around 2:45 pm.

    Service was down for me in the Tampa area during the early hours this morning. Probably like midnight to about 6am. I work nights, so I’m constantly messing around with my new N1, and it was frustrating. Normal people sleep during those hours, so no biggie I guess.

    yep im in atl an that outage hit early in the morning scared the mess out of me i thought i burned up my sim card … again ( hint to burnt sim cards never leave you phone charged for more then 3 hours lol)

    Wow, I never knew so many of us were from Atlanta. I’m in Gresham Road area and it was out from 2am til around 9:30am for me. How soon was it restored for you my fellow ATL-iens?

    For those that might still be experiencing trouble, you need to powercycle phones. The outages was over by 9:30 ET this morning and all services in the network were back to normal at that time.

    Eastern TN (Knoxville/Maryville) outages carried on until the late afternoon…BB Messenger and data services were only accessible via UMA..

    On a side note…

    Friday mid morning here at our house, my wife’s Touch Pro 2 had an H pop up in the Icon area of the signal meter??? It lasted for about 20 min. Then never reappeared.

    Could this be what I think it is??

    Cindy..I live in Houston and never experienced any outages at all. I have a Motorola Cliq and I was even able to do the trial update for new software last night (no, it’s not 2.1 but another OTA that actually does something right this time..woo-hoo!). I hope everyone else got their services back up and running. Life is life and sometimes thing happen beyond ours and T-Mobile’s control. Things could be worse in your life so be grateful you have a mobile phone and T-Mobile service.
