I used to be just like you, waiting for an upgrade on a garbage phone. But then came along the Samsung Vibrant. I love using all these new apps, and my live wallpapers are beautiful on this responsive 4 inch samoled screen. Do yourself a favor and ditch that moto pile of crap and see what you are missing. Btw, i have a moto cliq for sale. First person to fish it out the trash can have it

I just installed the update , has not been long enough to see if there are any improvements. But I love my phone other than the battery life so I dont have much to complain about. The update tried to come thru to my phone a couple nights ago and then they retracted it. But I think its all a go now unless your rooted.

Nothing… Not one stinking update… That being said, David, I hope you drop whatever phone you have several times throughout the day. Once you do drop it, I also hope that you step on it causing you to slip into a pile of dog crap. This pile of dog crap does in fact have several worms and horrible horrible bacteria. Hopefully this bacteria causes some kind of lump in your ear that doesn’t let you use cell phones anymore… That being said I hate you very very much.

I still think they’ll drop a 3.0 update for the nexus before we get the 2.1 update…
Seriously though this is the last time im ever buying motorola as well as t-mobile. My first disappointment was the Behold.. Im not even gonna start a discussion on that one. But now this?! F that. I may just try out verizon and go sailing with the map like on the commercial lol.

Anyone else have problems with downloading the update? Didn’t install and now says there is no update available? Where can I check to see if it really took?

This isn’t new. I had the G1 when it first came out. I sat and waited (for what seemed an eternity) for cupcake 1.5, and then donut 1.6. It rolled out in batches. Usually when I least expected it to do. When I was at work, I remember. Folks, this isn’t a really big update. Most of the hype will be a let down. This minor fix will have no bells and whistles. 2.1 will be a nail-biter. This will be nice for battery usage and things under the hood. Think of it as running downstairs and opening your first Christmas present, only to find a pair of socks. Wow! They’re socks- who cares. That said, I would be a liar if I didn’t mention that I checked the update on my phone at least six times today. I hope they’re argyle!

it’s 7:05 p.m. here in las vegas…. i just checked for the update, and i am downloading it now… paitience IS a virtue afterall… everyone will receive it soon, im sure, just be a bit more paitient.

Rick, David doesn’t owe you anything. He’s just giving you the news as he hears it. You can’t argue with the screen shot he showed. You’ll get the update when it’s good and ready. David isn’t the one delaying its release.
