It's interesting that Google admitted at CES that the Nexus 1 design is for one thing only, to make a phone that makes getting on the Net easy and an enjoyable experience.

And why Google wants to do that is to sell advertising. (The power of Google's Net advertising is being displayed by the millions of Nexus 1 ads plastered on what seems to be every website on the planet. I see that same Nexus 1 graphic just about everywhere I go on the Net.)

So I expect that what we will see in the future from Google is not phones designed for business, etc., but instead to sell us what I herein declare a new category of phone, an:

Ad Phone

So there are cell phones, smartphones, Windows Phones, and now Google's Ad-Phones.

Needless to say, but I will, I agree with your post 100% (see my post up above).

And I would like to add one more reason why I think the HD2 will be debuting with WinMo 7 in April:

Companies are mum on product debuts, except with what I call faux leaks, that are not really leaks but distribution of info by marketing and company big shots to the little fish out there. (I assume people know this because it would take very little time to find the people who leak information. Google did it in a funny, but typical way, with a few blurry shots of the N1, then one clear shot, then a fuzzy YouTube video (a company Google owns and if the "leak" was not authorized they could have torn down the video, at the minimum), then with specs, and finally pricing).

So I expect that in late February we will start to see the HD2 appearing with the WinMo 7 OS (some blurry shots of the screen). Then in March we will see "leaked" marketing materials, followed by a few videos, and the biggie, a hard to read T-Mobile price list (supposedly meant for store managers, but really meant for us).

If we see that pattern then we know that the HD2 with WinMo 7 will be out in April-May 2010.

While this is all speculation on my part, take note that this is how it has happened with every handset launch.

Mac's crash or slow down? LOL thats the funniest thing ive heard. Anyway this forum is all about T-mobile news and rumors, its not the peoples fault that it has evolved into an Android love fest. People talk about what they know to be the superior OS. Is it a coincidence that its all about Android around here? Nope!

here, here! No Sync up with Outlook, no way! Not a fan of WM, but it's better then the other Tmo offerings. The HD2 looks sweet. Probably the first phone in a loooooooong time that Tmo has put out that I've been excited about!
