Thanks Tmonews… I wish you all a Happy Holidays too!!! And as for the 7.2 Mbps launch… I have a feeling its coming soon… real soon because the last few days here in Henderson Nevada which is a sub. of Las Vegas my 3G signal has been going in and out from 3G to Edge these past few days and I haven’t been getting full 3G bars like I normally do (right now I am at only 2). Anyone else having these issues anywhere else? Let’s hope for the best!

Thanks Tmonews and T-Mobile. I just noticed on my road trip that 3G is live in LaGrange Georgia, Opelika Alabama and Auburn Alabama.

I got 1.8Mbits/s in south beach today using extreemelabs

  • mingkee

If you look at my sig in hofo, you’ll get a clue
I got 5+Mbps in and 1Mbps out with N900 tethered, used internet2 APN
the latency is a bit lower too
This is ridiculous because it’s 2x faster than home DSL!

Can anyone here tell me how on earth they’re going to find out when 7.2mbps HSDPA is rolled out? After all, TMO can roll out HSPA+ and as long as that BACKHAUL is a T1, you’re not going to get faster speeds.

For all we know, they’ve already rolled out 7.2mbps capable upgraded radio interfaces nationwide, but without the backhaul to match that speed capability, no one will know the difference.

I thought it was well known that the biggest current obstacle to high-speed wireless data is the backhaul – NOT the air interface. Apparently that’s not well known around here.

It’s a shame to see sites like this get people’s hopes up about something that may not even result in better speeds in the short term.

Or do you seriously think that TMO has upgraded all of its 3g towers with fiber in 3 months?

I think that speak for everyone when I say fuck u, u false God.

    Hi everyone,

My name is Freddy and I’ve wasted nearly a month of my life on this place ;-) I found it after being recommended by a few friends who have been hanging out here for quite some time.

I am a writer, graphics artist, photographer and just about anything else that comes up around the office. Aside from the above interests i’m really into scifi as I know that is so much more out there to be discovered, and a feeling that the universe is just teaming with life.

Well, I hope that I get to know more people here, share some experience and start learning. Have a greay day!
