Omaha, Nebraska, come on down to the 3G show. That’s right Omaha residents, T-Mobile has gone and surprised you this morning with an early Christmas gift in the form of 3G goodness. Faster data speeds and better voice quality are going to be very welcome this holiday season as you look for that holiday phone purchase. The clock is ticking for continued 3G launches and we bet T-Mobile is ramping up for a couple of big weeks to spread some holiday cheer to those who have, thus far, waited patiently for their own 3G surprise. Stay tuned!

That’s it, I’m moving to Omaha! Just kidding, lol. Congrats though. Wow at this pace TMo could be serious about expanding coverage. Tis a VERY good sign indeed now let’s keep that 3G train a rolling sea to shining sea and everything in between!
Rapidly expanding network, rock on tmobile…att cant mess with this…take a lesson att this is how you do your network and your customers..you too verizon more 3g, more phones not 350 etf, no extra charges, no contracts more minutes….rock on tmo
Heh. T-Mobile Rapid Development of its 3G Network = Molasses.
In January in Meechigan no less!

Anchorage, AK
Lincoln, NE
Fort Wayne, IN
Madison, WI
Boise, ID

Don’t take this wrong parr but tulsa pd and fed agencies are holding up tulsa right now I here. Some “decent sources tell me mid december for t-town. Oh I hope. I hope tmob calls these agencies to the carpet because homeland security consolidation must be complete by 2010 jan 1 and if not every day into 2010 is sacraficing our safety. So to all the agencies out get the @uck of tmobs freq and keep us safe damnit
mmaxsooner, I didn’t notice anything to “take wrong” in what you said. My town, Boise, is waiting for spectrum to be cleared by agencies too. Cinci is waiting for another company to clear spectrum. I suspect many of those waiting towns are eagerly awaiting spectrum to be cleared. So, I completely understand people’s frustration in the waiting game.
Who cares?!? I’m now a Verizon customer with my new Droid! Mmmm Droid.
Wow lil willy yer in the wrong place then.
Well, I USED to be a TMo customer until they decided that every place in Ohio deserved 3G EXCEPT Cincinnati. AND they had the gall to keep telling me that it was coming next month.
Oh yeah, and their support reps are stupid. This is their idea of support:
Me: I’m not getting an EDGE signal.
Them: Did you reboot your phone?
Me: Yes, several times.
Them: Ok, I’m going to need you to power off your phone and then back on.
Me: I’m talking to you on the phone right now, that would end the call. And I’ve already done that several times before I called and there’s two other TMo customers here and we all have the same issue.
Them: I’m sorry, I’m not showing an outage for your area and if you won’t reboot your phone, I can’t help you…
Mmmmm big ass bill enjoy fanboy!
Who gives a shit. Go back to your mama Verizon’s apron strings.
why are u on a tmobile blog site?
T-Mobile didn’t decide anything of the sort about Cincy. I was actually talking to somebody the other day about Cincy to get the story on it. He didn’t go into much detail, but basicly in a project like this it only takes 1 idiot to really cause a huge domino affect.
You also have a valid gripe on the Customer Service call. I fix issues like yours on a daily basis. Customer service should have created a ticket for the Operations team. Usually those problems can be fixed within a day. It is usually 1 of 2 things: #1, A software glitch where the data needs reset on the T-Mobile equipment or #2, A bad radio that was replaced and the field technician mistakenly put a non-Edge capable radio where there should have been an Edge capable one.
This surprises me as their network in Omaha is pretty weak, or it was the last time I was there.
Hopefully, with the phase II of the 3G rollouts, they will focus on improved coverage because they really don’t do that when roll out 3G.
They did bring back unlimitied wifi calling.
You lie! Seriously, where did you see unlimited wifi calling was back? I don’t see it on the Tmo site.. Btw totally agree on the coverage thing but if you’ve read even 1 of my 100’s of long-winded rant-infested posts you’d know that. lol Now.. Back to the unlimited wifi calling being back..
All I can say is keep’em coming T-Mo. Roll on! Congrats Omaha!!
Where is clarksville TN

word around town was that 3g in louisville would be around the end of the year. when i went and got my smartphone plan for my iphone one of the reps told me they were testing it in the outer loop area (for any louisville readers here) and that it would work with my iphone (patently false, but i wish it were true. i think i would have to really shell out for an international iphone to get that to work).
that we haven’t had 3g coverage for this long is a surprise.
Montgomery al just got tmobile 3g this morning 2!!!!!!!!!!!
… plus Clarksville, TN and Topeka, KS …
Oh wow, now nebraska has interstate 80, corn, and omaha with tmo 3g. that state is looking better by the minute
Chico, Ca. came on yesterday as well.
Montgomery was supposed to get 3g, as on the list, first in Q3
Thank God for 3g. No love for me though, I live in South Omaha so I don’t have 3g yet. And Bryan, yes, there isn’t much coverage in Omaha. Most places I go, I have no service. I live 5 miles from my work (also in Omaha) and only have service at my house and 2 blocks before I get to work. No signal in my work’s parking lot. Sad indeed. I also had some friends get the Motorola Droid lately. They make fun of me because I have an android phone that can’t call people but theirs can. Oh well.
Hell, come to think of it, we don’t even have a T-mo store in Omaha. Closest one is Kansas City, MO.
