i am currently an ATT customer, but will be switching to TMo soon (still waiting for the right phone, although the CLIQ has my eye). No Contract is awesome. I live in one of TMo's 3g networks. The pricing of the Even More Plus plans (500min+txt+data) is definitely a step in the right direction.

T-Mobiles 77k net loss isn't as bad as Sprints 545k net loss. There are different reciepes for success in carriers. Most people would say Sprint's phone lineup is pretty good as well as there coverage. In reality, people are still leaving them. AT&T would be having the same issues with losing customers if it was not for IPhone exclusitivity. When I look at carriers, the only one with a strong foundation right now is Verizon. All of the others have fundamental flaws which could destroy them.

This is good. But personally, with how everything has been handled in the past, I try not to get excited. Nice table though. We need better pics.

I agree. T-Mobile is hardly laying over to just die. There has not been a more aggressive network build than what has happend this year within T-Mobile. The Carolinas were added via a purchase of SunCom and a couple hundred sites were built in that area alone. Thousands of 3G sites were built nearly doubling the 3G coverage area. Hundreds of sites were built in areas where subscribers were roaming. HSPA has been launched in some areas and HSPA+ being trialed in some markets.

Beyond that, there was a lot happening in handsets. T-Mobile was able to launch a couple handsets with the new Android operating system. People always says that T-Mobile simply follows, but in this instance they were a leader. Granted they are behind in the quality of Android handsets right now, but thats the nature of the business. Phone makers and Google have no loyalty to T-Mobile. There was no chance for T-Mobile to get any kind of exclusitiviy on this platform. HTC and Samsung are the only carriers that tend to support T-Mobile with any kind of preference. Google took the homely girl to the prom, but decided to dance with the hot redhead. It happens.

There was a lot of bad that happened this year, but plenty of good too. From an employee inspective, I can definitely tell there is a big change in direction happening right now. Over the last year, I've heard more talk from upper management concerning data services and handsets than all of my previous years with the company combined. When other companies were launching 3G, T-Mobile still treated data services as a supplementary service. Now it is treated with every bit of importance as voice services. The phone lineup is still iffy. I like the MyTouch better than any T-Mobile phone I've owned, but the phones still need to reach up another level. I believe the phones released over the next 6-8 months will tell the story of where T-Mobile is heading.

@Brandon:
Hey man, go to school and take an economics class. If you are displeased w/ T-mo, then fine, go. Leave. Scram. Getdafucoutta here, we don't really care... thats a choice by the individual and I'm tired of bitch-ass whiners telling US they're leaving... why don't all you girly, limp wristed thumb suckers go and call T-mo and tell it to THEM instead seeing as they might do more for you than a bunch of other net-nerds making comments on a blog. Please, if anyone out there feels the need to write about how they're going to leave this carrier or that carrier, hit yourself in the face with a hammer first before typing.

And Brandon, we all have opinions... but we all need to check them as well. Because you read a few BLOG articles with a negative spin, you've come to the whopping, uneducated conclusion that a whole company is going out-of-business? If I applied your logic to everything I read, that would mean Sony is already dead, Chyrsler doesn't exist, the U.S. will be a pile of dirt in 2 years, and the Statue of Liberty will be painted red with a yellow star and start charging admission. Hyperbole sucks, so don't do it.

And on top of all that... this is a dang blog about a tablet you jerk. All I wanted to say was something about the MS Courier and then read your garbage. You didn't just take it off-topic, you took it to a bitch-topic. Thanks. (Of course, I did no better, but I don't care at this point).

But Tmobile is not the company that they want 2 be because of the hacks at TmoUSA. Plus they r not expanding coverage or 3g where it needs 2 be.

But Tmobile lost 77k customers in thee 3rd quarter. The thing that holds Tmobile back is their lack of phone selection, lack of coverage, and lack of 3g coverage. People r leaving Tmobile becaue of those reasons alone. And their unlimited plans arent worth staying with them.
