Look at Verizon’s history.. They do everything they can to lock down every feature that they can charge you for.. Ask blackberry owners about blackberry maps for example.. VZW disables the gps from working with anything but there VZNav.. They also have the WiFi killed in most phones to force you to use there data service..

I Used to do Tech support for them when the Touch Pro Came out.. They were touting all these new cutting edge features it could do.. These were things that people like myself on tmo take for granted (I had a MDA using a cooked rom at the time)

more like motorola took a dump and the droid came out cause that phone looks like, and feels like sh#t. who cares about processors and UIs when the phone is uglier than aunt edna? btw the only android 2.0 phones will be on verizon until q1 2010. its called exclusivity people ever heard of it? kinda like oh i don’t know…the iphone. verizon paid a pretty penny to keep you from having 2.0 until then.

BTW, comparing the arm 11 528mhz 7201 to a arm 8 550mhz is like silly. The 3430 even at 550mhz and even without the DSP and 3D chip (that is has) is TWICE as powerful as the 7201. Please read the specs.

BKjames, WHAT are you talking about???? I have been testing Droid for the past week:

1. The 1400mah battery last longer than my 2300mah battery in the Dash
2. Android 2.0 is way better than any Tmo option
3. Plays videos and games waaaaaaay better than any Tmo device
4. Verizon 3G in boonies KY works EVERYWHERE I have tried. Place with no bars Tmo GSM coverage gets two bars 3G coverage. I can stream HQ Youtube in the SAME places I have ZERO coverage by Tmo.

Droid is a great device trumped only by the N900. Tmo’s device portfolio and 3G coverage sucks butt (big Oprah butt).

THAT makes sense! Another suck butt 7201 chipset device. If Tmo approves this, they DO NOT HAVE A FREAKIN CLUE.

Android 2.0, Navigator and Flash 10.1 will NOT work well at all on the 7201. A lot of folks will be surprised in a bad way this summer with their g1’s, Cliqs, Mytouch, etc.

Let another carrier get this two year old trash.
