they should give us the new myTouch free to everyone who has the myTouch now. I dont give a shit about the finder crap, or the added software, the 3.5 alone is worth it, but not worth enough actually buying the same damn phone again.

Look out for that G1v2 coming in first quarter 2010

You morons actually think that the providers "pick" which phones they sell?
They don't!
The different carriers bid on the phones! And companies like AT&T and Verizon have more power to move more phones than T-Mo.
T-Mo got the G1 because no one else wanted the risk. They got the MyTouch because they saw the potential early on. Once everybody saw how well Android worked, they jumped in and got the better phones. It's simple business.

i'm waiting for a phone to be released that seems to be a no brainer to build... and yet somehow it hasn't been made. i'm not asking for anything magical... give me:

-android
-5 meg camera
-at least a 528 processor
-enough ram to run decent apps without lag (preferably 256 megs)
-3.5 mm jack
-wifi
-3g
-gps/a gps

all you have to do is release a phone without the pointless battery wasting extra software like motoblur and touchwiz. cmon tmobile, stop building crap low end phones and give me something that i will use. i want to give you my money, stop being difficult. verizon is looking pretty tempting right now...

I just left the android and me website and read that Samsung has just announced the 800 mhz android packing Samsung Moment. And guess where its not coming, that's right not to Tmo, its slated to launch on sprint just before black Friday. Sprint gets the moment, Verizon gets the sholes, and we get stuck with the cliq. Better android phones are out there, Tmo is just choosing to ignore them. As far as android goes, its mainly going to be hardware that differentiate the carriers offerings. And clearly the other carriers are swinging for the fences with their android offerings, but not good ol' tmo. Its all about messaging for them. 1 more thing all of the mytouch owners are getting screwed now that a version with a 3.5mm headjack is coming.

It is a great Christmas outlook for all the android enthusiasts, but I am sorely disappointed that the bold 2 9700 is not included in the list. Maybe it is a little too early to announce it since the CLIQ hasn't been released yet. I have been waiting seems like forever. Guess imma keep on rocking my 8900 and wait some more. **sniffles**

@everyone worrying about the 9700 - T-Mobile is currently running a contest that lets sales reps win the 8520 or the "newest blackberry" (explicitly implying that it's a BB T-M doesn't have yet). The 9700 is right around the corner guys, that's why it's not part of the holiday line-up.
