Not to be a “Sidekick fanboy”, but the Sidekick already does the “social network” thing. Has for months now…Sure it’s not always “on”, but it definitely updates the communities on at least an hourly basis.

I agree they coulda waited and made the Sidekick LX09 better…though it wouldn’t have saved the Sidekick brand since it was (is?) ‘behind the times’…Poor Sidekick. Ah well.

agreed. that was my first thought after seeing the whole “social phone” thingie. I dont think the phone looks all that bad but i cant help sensing that this one is by all means targeting the youth.

i’m getting sick of waiting, tho. the mytouch isnt me, i dont think the n900 is gonna make it to tmobile (and if it does it wont be for a while), and that just leaves me the next blackberry thats supposedly due november. i got a freakin razr right now, dead ass. man.

not hating on tmobile, though, for real. i just really want a new phone. and soon.

Not impressed.. Its got a fancy user interface for social networking.. So if I was 16 I would probably be all over it.. Other then that the keyboard is crap, & its just a little bit prettier G1. Nothing groundbreaking if you have already gone through puberty..

It still does’nt tell the screen size in the spec sheet. It looks like a 3″ or 3.25″ size to me.

I love it, beats the Pre from sprint, but i agree with artiepants, Its great, im glad i didnt get the mytouch i did get the highlight but i can give that to my wife, but what will keep me in TMo besides the phones is no family data plan. For individual its fine but im not paying $75 w/o tax, and without individual tax per line, people look at you bill. You get taxed for the whole plan, then you get taxed more per line. How can you tax my bundle then tax me more for every individual line i have? Im getting tired of this and i will go move to a nother carrier, im looking at sprint, ATT and Verizon for the data family packs.

to put into perspective:

G1 =
528Mhz processor
192KB RAM
256 ROM

And I’m not 100% sure, but I thought the myTouch was dumbed down to the same specs as the G1?

All I know is I want my Android, but I want it on something faster than the G1!
