Behold2 Def Going The Way Of Google

behold2

The Behold is one of those phones whose mere presence in my hand gives me joy. I believe it is truly the most size friendly phone I have ever held, just perfection. That being said, Touchwiz needs some help, an overhaul if you will in its current state. I like it, don’t get me wrong and perhaps Samsung’s upcoming app store will bring a much-needed influx of apps and shortcuts. In the meantime, courtesy of my boy over at DroidDeveloper we get another hint of the next gen Behold, the Behold2 going the way of the Android samurai. Truthfully, pairing Android with the Behold just tickles me the right way, I love seeing those words in the same sentence. Obviously, this is all still a little short on evidence but it’s certainly convincing enough to warrant a post coupled with the past hint of the T939 with Google offerings. Not sure other than Android what a Google offering could mean. Thoughts? Does a Behold with Android on it offer the same spark to anyone else as it does to me? Tell me I am not alone!

i bet this is the Galaxy. I know the Galaxy has a different model number…but it’s not unlikely for manufacturers to change the “Model ID” to fit a particular line-up that they have going.

    Yeah I think it’s re-branded Galaxy also.

even if it’s called the Behold 2 at releasing…I still think it’ll just be the Galaxy under a difference name(i.e. – Dash 3G vs Snap)

I was excited for a minute until I remebered the Behold and Memoir are all touch screen, no physical QWERTY.

So the Galaxy is sans QWERTY too?

Too bad. That’s the only thing keeping me from considering it. Here’s to hoping the Morrison has some decent specs and camera!

And side note: My friend has the Memoir and as far as phone/camera combos go, it takes some nice ass pics.

Wait, that’s nice-ass pics. Not, Nice…Ass pics. Though my friend’s taken a few of those w/ the Memoir as well.

Good news. I was pretty set on getting a Behold before launch. There were a few things that kept me from doing so. A next gen with Android would likely cure those issues. If this is the Galaxy, I want it.

As long as we don’t get that crappy screen from the Behold. At least I thought it was a crappy screen. =P

  • I work in a Tech Call center and saw training for something called Google Mobile Services. I am Android Trained alredy and have not had any training for this yet. This training also happened months ago. So right now I would have to say it may not be a android phone but Google moving some services to other platformes like the Touch Wiz plat form. I could be wrong. But when I saw the google mobile service on the pic above I remembered seeing a sign on a traing Door for that exactly.
