Current specs on this phone are the sam as what we have out now and it's just not cutting it. Android would love to have better ram/processor with all that multi-tasking going on. Current phones are barely usable, they lag even with linux swap, compcache and overclocked processor. I want something that I wouldn't have to root to get any kind of performance out of it. I want to run facebook, twitter, gmail, outlook and still be able to listen to the music without waiting 3-4 sec for it to response to a button press. Hence I want something "usable". I'll take anything at this point though... G1 is just way outdated. I was hoping myTouch would have 256ram but they shure crippled that too. Oh well.. I'll just have to wait for unlocked phones to surface with decent specs.

With those specs, you want something more than "usable". How many phones currently available actually meet those specs? I know of some phones in development that do, but none currently out.

If T-Mobile gets this phone, I guarantee you they'll take away the chrome look to cut costs.

I can see where one wouldn't need a data plan. I have a Pearl 8120 that I bought without a data plan. I used it to be able to sync my calendar and contacts with outlook, but I didn't need to be receiving all my email. Later I signed up for the data package, and getting email has been awesome, but the internet experience on it is more frustrating than useful. Now, I am wishing that I had a full keyboard and a touch screen, but our office is a BB only environment, so Google isn't an option for me now.

If I didn't have the office email on my phone, I'd definitely get something better. I hope to be getting a new 3G blackberry when my contract is up, because I assume those will be out and cheap by mid next year.

Another low-end device, nice looking but still low-end. When will we get nice 3.7" screen, 5-8gb internal storage, 320-384 ram/1ghz processor phone? I don't even care what it costs, I just want something usable

I just don't understand folks like David. Why do they want to control what other people do with their phones. Who are you to tell people what they do or don't need? Do you work for the government? Are you Barak Obama?

I can afford a data plan, but I don't NEED a data plan. Why is this concept so difficult to understand? Some people would like a nice phone and don't need a data plan.
