Between me and my husband we've owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I've settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

So when will we see this update? I just got the Mytouch yesterday. I had the G1 and hated almost everything about it (keyboard was awkward, bulky and heavy, camera.... HORRIBLE, rang too quiet, battery life.... worse, no exchange support that I could find). The mytouch is what the G1 SHOULD have been! The only thing is - should I be waiting for updates? With the G1 we received updates a day within getting it. I went to settings > about phone > System Updates and it says I am up to date. It just seems to run slower than my G1 did. Also, for the life of me, it will not let me add a picture frame to the home screens.... Help please?! :)

New TouchDown app rocks my world! My email comes in, looks nice and clear. When I open the app fully (from starting point), it shows me all the things I have for the day on my Outlook calendar. I can put widgets on my desktop. I love it (using Mytouch).

Talk time, 7 hours+ (website says 7), I talk on the phone A LOT though. I had GPS enabled and talked for a total of about 4 hours (maybe 5), then I was on market place downloading stuff for a total of about 2 hours. And the batter had just moved into the yellow. Honestly, it's A LOT better than the G1. I got rid of my G1 because of the battery life and crap camera. This is better in both.

That's for sure, though the improvement only lasted a week on my phone before I had to do it again.

the my touch battery is a little better. i can go a whole day from morning to night when i get home. but remember, you battery can be trained. let it completely die out before charging it, and charge the phone while it is off. You will see an improvement

Exchange Support is the ability for your device to sync with a Microsoft Exchange Server. The Microsoft Exchange Server allows for instant wireless synchronization of your e-mail, contacts, calendar and tasks. An app named "Touchdown" is currently the best (and only) app available for the G1. Touchdown allows you to do everything a Windows Mobile Device does but with a better format.
