While this isn’t the first time we’ve gotten wind of a Blackberry codenamed “Driftwood,” our friends at Boygenius are running with two “sources” who are “confirming” this device for T-mobile in September. Hopefully, rumored to be the first 3G Blackberry device, this should hopefully introduce a little more excitement than the Gemini and its lacking feature set. Rumored specs include the much appreciated 3G, 3.2 megapixel camera, wi-fi with UMA, optical trackpad and GPS. While we’re still going to hold this in the rumored category, we hope to be able to use the words, Blackberry, 3G and T-mobile in more sentences in our postings!

Right around the time I get to upgrade. I get excited when 3G and Blackberry are in the same sentence (which isn’t very often). I can not wait to get my hands on a new Blackberry.

meh I think they could have made this device sexier looking…I mean the hardware is definitely hot…but the phone looks like RIM took two steps backward (I think the 8900 looks MUCH sleeker and sexier than this thing)…
I agree that the 8900 looks better but this new phone has more in the looks department of the Niagara and Bold. But I am Really Excited about the Features so I can overLook that.
Finallt sweet 3G Blackberry is here……..I agreed with many here that they could have made it lilte more sexier. But I would take it as it as..I just spend couple of hundered on 8900. Hope i have job by Sep so that I can invest on new one………

By the time the Blackberry comes out, you may have 3G. There should be some new market turn ups by then.
Is this the rumored touchscreen device? Minus the touchscreen, or is there more to come from Rim to T Mobile this year??? Inquiring minds want to know. I only plan on paying for 1 phone this year.

Being able to tether it will be fantastic. Although it might put a dent in the USB card market.. tethering + 3G + unlimited smartphone data = way better than the USB card with the 5gb/mo cap. And it’s a hell of a lot cheaper.

does this blackberry have OS…i hope the internet is atleast comparable to the iphone. ive been using the titanium curve since 08 and i refuse to pay the data plan because of the internet, so i hope this one is worth it.
