For those of you who are still as of yet unaware that today is cyber-monday, T-mobile is not going to let you forget. Today marks the day the internet does battle with black friday for sales, clearance, deals and your money.

T-mobile is offering front and center on their home page the Sony Ericsson TM506 3G phone for freeeeeee. This little goody, previewed before is SE’s return to the T-mobile lineup after a long  absence. With 3G, a 2.0 megapixel camera and telenav navigation, SE has certainly brought some teeth back to the T-mobile lineup. We expect much more after the first of the year from our much loved Sony Ericsson and T-mobile will certainly be waiting with open arms for higher end devices to rival our competition.

All that being said, T-mobile is offering the 506 for free today, cyber-monday and to boot, don’t forget about that free companion flight. As the cold weather starts sinking in across the country, it has be to looking mighty nice for a trip to somewhere tropical and warm.

No word yet on whether or not this is available for upgrades?!

I just checked online and it will cost $29.95 for the upgrade. Glad that g diddy was able to get his for free! Guess I’ll have to take the G1 for $179, as I only have a corporate card at AMEX!

This phone has been free w/ new contract or new added line for a little while now. I saw it a little over a month ago when I was helping a friend look for a phone on T-mo. Then about 2 weeks ago, I added a new line and both the green and orange Ericssons were available for free, so I got the orange one.
Not a bad phone… but when my last 3 phones are a G1, Shadow, and MDA (Wizard), phones like the TM506 feel like 1997 to me. Good for my mom though. LOL.

Too the TM506 has problems installing the latest GMail and Google Maps applications. I had them both running on the phone before but it seems like T-Mobile locked the phone from those applications now.

I got it for free on a 2 year upgrade thru customer loyalty after being told no by customer service. I was very nice as she was.

CEASE USING THE TERM “CYBER MONDAY.” It is a lame term coined by a marketing/retailer association.
