Attention attention San Francisco residents who have not pre-ordered the G1, we have news for you! Sadly the news is only good if you live in that in the San Fran area as T-mobile has chosen the San Francisco store at 3rd and Market St to start selling G1′s a day early. You read that right, at 6pm local time (6pm PDT) you will be able able to purchase the G1 and be the envy of all your friends. We imagine that they have limited inventory and high demand so go early and go with a friend, the buddy system works better for bathroom breaks!

If you aren’t in San Francisco or have already received your pre-ordered phone, don’t worry because your wait only extends one more day. In the meantime, head over to the forums and try not to be jealous of everyone already showing their phones off.

also if you’re switching from the wing and the dash your headphones, charger and usb cable will work along with the best part the case. yes the case its a little tight at first but if you dont like the g1 case remember the wing and the dash case can accomadate your g1 and pretty nice and you save a little money on the a new case.

I can’t wait to get mine I’m from the Bx NY and my 3g coverage is perfect so all i need is the G1 and T1 I’m sure there’s gonna be something on the martket that will allow you to play nintendo games and sega etc…

@t1 does the g1 case have a belt clip? And also my dude how’s the aim yahoo etc on it?

@macho im from the bronx too son last stop on the 5 train. you know. i hope they have some emulators save me some trouble. but no the g1 case is a pouch not a belt clip. use the one from the wing or the dash or if not hit up 125 or jerome you know how the street vendors work. this is new york son we can get one for $10 bucks.

@T1, I believe the charger and usb tips for the Dash are different from the G1. I don’t think they’re compatible. I’ll have to check out the case tho.

dude last night i charged my phone with the charger from my wing i didn’t even open the g1 charger yet. remember it holds mini usb and that propriety jack from htc. you can basically take any mini usb cable and even charge it in your cable box if you want to. you can do it with the wing and the dash and the shadow. its a htc thing.

I live in Utah and i received my G1 today from the UPS guy. It is really cool and I have had a great day showin it off!!!

omg!!! My dad works right next to that store! and i still havent preordered. had i checked this earlier, i probably could of got one!! the store is so random, at least it is close to me ;)

I have loaded every app almost that u can add at this time..no memory prolem at all..people want cars that will go 200 mph…but then have never gone near that fast

you guys may not like the fact there is no touch keyboard..but the slide out one is excellent…this phone is a masterpiece..it has..trackball..for bb lovers..keyboard for sk and wing lovers and a killer touchscreen and high def large screen. get an unlocked iphone if u want to follow the up and trendy.

broser takes getting used to but is amazing…..windowed. as u go to new url…the previously viewed one is reduced automaically and then u can go back to open

ok quick question.
has anyone been able to sync Hotmail accounts to your G1 yet keeps telling me error >.> and i know for my blackberry i didnt have to pay for hotmail for it to work on my phone. Does anyone know how to set it up or bypass that?

Hey I got a good one for you all..

I added my pop 3 account from optonline.net…
Well whenever I delete mail it shows back up.
Even if I select the setting to remove from server.

The E-Mail is very buggy and I think I may have to just use Gmail from now on…

Anyone having issues with mail client?

T1, you’re right, dash usb cable and charger works for the G1. Haven’t been able to get hotmail to work though.

Youtube is pretty functional. Some clip audio is lackluster, could be specific clips tho.

@ will and jake to get your hotmail working it depends on where your email is 1. if your email is with hotmail you must go to hotmail.com on the browser and login there. if you have a windows live or msn account you go to mobile.msn.com and click the hotmail link on the screen and use the login they have there. microsoft passport(the universal login for them)is strictly a web based email system you cannot login thru pop or imap

@kevman i set up two optonline accounts and my omni360 account on my phone but i didn’t find anything buggy on the phone about them they worked seamless. just make sure your outgoing port is 110 and incomming is 25 uncheck the username part in outgoing setup. and remember outgoing and incoming are the same server address “mail.optonline.net”

Tried deleting and emty trash.
Let me know if your able to emry trash without mail coming back. Evrything I deleted has come back.

I don’t think its pilot error or misconfiguration between g1 and chair.

T1, makes sense that hotmail would op that way but it would be much easier adding hotmail as an additional account. nothing different from using a desktop, ugh.

gotta get used to texting on it also not good to text with it plugged. the charger wire blocks the position of your hand on the chin

im getn used to the texting, just threw 500mb of songs on it thru usb from my dell win xp laptop in like 30 sec. the android just put em in the music player automatic. im mclovin it!! i like the headphones too

headphone quality is blah on the g1 headphones, but my boy has a headphone adapter that came with a verizon(yes i said verizon) ppc6800. a htc proprietery head phone adapter to 3.5 combination that works pretty good with my zune headphones
