I specifically asked this same question a few days ago, a number of people commented on how they thought it would be done, I guess T-Mobile understood that it was a necessity. With an open platform comes open territory….. for good …. and for bad. Remember…. we cant have TOTALLY open or we will have TOTAL chaos. I loooooooooooove the idea of getting a refund within 24 hours of purchase. I cant tell ya how many times I bought something just to realize it SUCKED.
Fortunately Im a developer, so now …. Ill be writing my own apps! WOOT WOOT!
Now….. if only UPS would update my delivery date…. Miami Beach here and still “Not Available” is showing up. Contacted TMo and they said not to worry, I ordered my phone on the 23rd (launch day) so I am GUARANTEED to have it by Wednesday she said WAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ….. please update me.

been did that homie m.ups.com just type in the tracking number. u can also setup myups to email you when a packages’ status gets changed. check it out create and account its free

@wuddacutie people keep forgetting 1.0 here and nothing is perfect not even the jobsphone. also after 30 mins with the jobsphone you get bored.

hey guys setup a wireless profile on the UPS website so you can txt your tracking number and get details about your shpment

I know where you’re coming from, T1.

I don’t think the G1 should be compared to the iPhone, either. It’s awesome that Google finally put out thier own OS, and that makes it special. I guess it’s just easier for some to be pessimistic than excited that something new has just begun.

i really dont like the way these people keep bashing the g1 these critics keep forgetting that htc makes windows handsets this is thier first droid and i think they did fine(from what ive seen). reading a rss feed on droid community and they compiled all the critics comments in one article and those people are too judgemental. reminding me of an article at redmond pie the other day and they did the same thing to windows 7 a os thats still in beta form. not even rtm. dude from redmond pie was so upset he disacredited all those sites some of which also reviewed the g1. those people should rate these things on a group level instead of an individual level and do a average review case some of them are stuck in favoritism land.

UPS just came to my door. I got super happy, but….. it was something else I had requested a sample of lol. Got my hopes up n ish.
