If I were Google or HTC and I cared about my stock price (especially if I was Google), I would never release this ugly piece of shyte. This would hurt me as a company and hurt my foray into the web and advertising aspects on cell phones. Note that I didn’t mention if I was T-Mobile USA as T-Mobile USA has had a history of disappointments in terms of phones and network development for a long time. SO my take on this is that this cannot be the final phone as that would be a colossal blunder.

@David

Thanks! So - this may be a dumb question but what if I have my friend who lives in a 3G area pre-order the phone? Would that work? She has a Pearl and no desire for Android?

Thanks in advance.

I don't get the 'Sidekick for teens' comment.

First of all... SIDEKICK is the Sidekick for teens.

2ndly, I thought Android was suppose to be a full function OS w/ PDA abilities and apps? That's a far cry from the crappy Sidekick.

Am I wrong? I like WinMo and I've seen what the iPhone does and I have history w/ Nokia and Symbian... it would disappoint me if Android is more just a pretty 'dumb'phone and not an actual smartphone/PDA OS.

@sheshe, pittsburghguy

I really still can't say with 100% certainty that the 3G zip code rule is positively taking place. I know there IS some kind of a limitation or you will at least be advised of the limitations of using in an edge only area, but there is still conflicting information as to whether or not the zip code policy is in place.

I'm intersted in the Android phone, but also like Microsoft Outlook (for my business). Does the Android Dream phone sync with Outlook?

@ EVERYONE!!!

I am so sick of this discussion. Last post on this thread. I'll check "mytmobile" on the 17th of September and then then again on the 13th of October. If I like what I see then I will buy it otherwise I'll wait for some other phone.
