Unfortunately the phone will not work on T-mobile's 3G bands. T-mobile uses WCDMA IV while the ATT phone you have uses WCDMA I so these will not work. T-mobile's 3G requires both the 1700/2100

Here a technical question for the group. I have an unlocked ATT 8925 currently (HTC ppc)that is UMTS capable on ATT's 1900 and 2100band. If T-mobile is running on the 1700 and 2100 band, will my phone connect to t-mobile's 3g network when it goes live? I was not sure if you needed to have both 1700 and 2100 band on the same phone for the device to be 3g enabled for a specific carrier. Anyone knows that would be great.

They actually paid $4.2 billion in 2006 for spectrum not $2.2 billion. Just an F.Y.I.
