Geez, these guys definitely don’t know how to take sarcasm. He was just joking that the Wing is so freaking old already, that it seems like it came out in ’97. Then the other guy comes back with the “history of T-Mobile”. Hilarious.

The wing was not discontinued u can still get it thru the handset upgrade program or retail cost 449.99

I just verified based on when a Google search told me that the Wing was announced. I know it’s the successor to the MDA which I believe was out in 2005… I’m not sure how to trace it back any further. Besides, T-Mobile USA was formed in 2002 and Voicestream, the company that was bought out by Duetsche Telekom and later became T-Mobile, was formed in 1996 but wasn’t spun off into its own subsidiary until 1999. The wing couldn’t have existed then, it was too advanced for that time anyway.
